Dj Wah Wa lands new Burger King TV Commercial








DJ Wah Wa of popular Kingston-based sound system Darkcide International is now the new campaign face of International fast food giants, Burger King, starring in their latest television commercial.

Making his advertising debut, Wah Wa was handpicked by company officials to represent the brand based on his vibrant personality for which he’s known on the entertainment circuit.

“It’s always a good look when Corporate Jamaica wants to align their product to you, especially an internationally renowned company like Burger King”. When asked about the feedback he added, “The response so far has been tremendous and hopefully this will be the beginning of a working relationship with other corporate interest.”

Meanwhile, after completing a month-long tour of the United States last December, DJ Wah Wa and other members of the Darkcide International family are now gearing up for the hectic summer season with several assignments throughout Jamaica, the Caribbean and North America.

On Thursday, June 24th, Dj Wah Wa will unravel his musical artistry at Wolmer's Girls High School Graduation Ball at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

Carlene Davis Continue to Save Souls in Canada




Pastoral Minister and acclaimed gospel singer Dr. Carlene Davis thrilled thousands in Canada last week at the renown Revival Time Tabernacles in Toronto, delivering another spiritually charged performance to the large gathering as the specially invited guest of Bishop Dr. Audley James, the church’s presiding pastor.

This postdates her recent trip to the African continent, where she and husband Tommy Cowan ministered in Uganda saving many lives while imparting the teachings of Christianity.

Now back in the island, Dr. Davis last Wednesday attended the launch of Denbeigh at the Hi-Pro Ace Supercentre in White Mall, St. Catherine. Where she met with various executives to discuss the way forward for the upcoming Denbeigh Gospel Extravaganza, slated for August 1, 2010. In attendance at the launch where Committee Chairman Senator - Norman Grant, Leon Mitchell - Marketing and Sales Promotion Executive at The Jamaica National Building Society, Glendon Harris - President of the Jamaica Agricultural Society, Dr. Christopher Tufton - Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Donovan White - Head of Marketing at Digicel Jamaica, Christopher Levy - President of the Jamaica Boilers Group among others.

The annual Agricultural Show will be staged at the Denbeigh Showground in Clarendon from July 31 to August 2 under the theme "Eat What We Grow and Grow What we Eat".

Meanwhile, Dr. Davis and her husband is due to return to Canada on August 2, 2010 for the Revival Time Tabernacles annual gospel concert alongside fellow Jamaican acts Judith Gayle and Papa San.
