African Dancehall Ambassadors

The “Dancehall Ambassadors” is the hottest song currently doing rounds on radio satiions all around Africa. The track was produced by Zimbabwean producer Tawanda Sibotshiwe better known as Jusa Dementor.

The single features Nigerian dancehall guru General Pype, Real name Majekodunmi Olayiwola Ibrahim’s. The track is very bashy capturing the essence of Jusa and General Pypes enthusiasm for dancehall music; the beat is a contagious fusion of ragga and euro synths with a sprinkling of Pop instrumentation thrown in for good measure.

This daring composition provides the bass line for a catchy track complete with an underlying message, talking about African nations coming together as one, and the rising of ambassadors for African countries through music. Jusa and General Pype stand forth as ambassadors of the youth bringing the teachings of Goodwill to the African Youth through the popular genre of Dancehall. The lyrics have a truly inspirational message concealed within an entertaining and captivating track.

This collaboration has seen a strong relationship being built between Podyum Vybes and A.B.R.A Tribe. There is more to be expected from the two Dancehall stars in the future with more tracks currently being composed and produced from the two camps as Africa's Dancehall scene has now becoming mainstream.

CP Inc Optimistic About Big Foot

CP Inc.

Dancehall duo CP Inc is very optimistic about their latest single titled Big Foot. The hilarious song which was released a few weeks ago on the Good Life imprint, is reminiscent of Lt. Stitchie’s smash 80s dancehall hit Wear Yuh Size. The duo which hails from the Seaview Gardens area of Kingston, is hoping that Big Foot will give their career the kick it needs to push them to the forefront of the dancehall arena.

When asked how the idea for the song came about this is what group member Wayne Rose had to say: “Wi deh up a di studio one day an si a youth in a pair a square mouth shoes from di way di bredda a walk yu coulda si sey him inna pain, him foot too big an di shoes too tight. Same time mi bredrin look pon him an seh big foot and square mouth caan work and everybody start laugh.

So far Big Foot has been getting a lot of buzz in the streets and CP Inc, is confident that it will only be a matter of time before the song becomes a hit. “Right now Big Foot a get crazy love in the streets, everywhere wi go and perform it wi get a lot of forwards and when it play inna dance it haffi pull nuff time, said Wayne.

CP Inc recently shot a music video for Big Foot, under the guidance of music video director Wayne South. The video was released to television stations locally last week and has already began receiving steady rotation on several popular music video channels.

The group will be leaving the island at the end of August for a month long promotional tour of the US, which will see them making stops in New York, Boston and Virgina.
