CP Inc creating a musical blast!

Their hopes are to one day become the world’ most famous dancehall duo. But, don’t think they’ll just merely sit and wait, as through share determination and hard work, dancehall duo CP Inc are making strides towards a successful music career.

The group, comprising Wayne Rose and Shawn Reynolds, has been entertaining music lovers across Jamaica for some time now and have now transcended into a recognizable force in the local music industry.

And as their name implies, CP Inc (Creative People Incorporation), there is no shortage of creativity about the duo, which began their professional music career back in 2001.

“We form the group in 2001 and since then we have grown tremendously,” said Shawn Reynolds.

Reynolds also paid tribute to established dancehall artiste Mr Lexx, who he said played a major role in their development.

“The two of us used to do fishing before we decided to do music the real way. It was Lexxus (Mr Lexx) who gave us the name and endorsed us the real way. He played a major role in the development of the group,” said Reynolds.

Currently the duo is voicing songs for popular producers like Seanizzle, Tristan Palmer Father Pow and Flava Squad, and has recorded singles like Sunday To Sunday, No Little Gyal Can Trick Me and Have Mercy, respectively.

However, their latest studio efforts Too Much Killing In Di Ghetto and Big Foot, which was produced by Canadian-based producer Nobe, has been creating quiet a buzz around music circles, something that they’ve acknowledged graciously.

“One day we were at the studio and got a rhythm. The concept came and we voiced Big Foot, since it’s release it has been getting a very positive reception,” he said.

The main focus of the duo now is the promotion of Big Foot and its accompanying music video, as they prepare for overseas performances in New York and Texas this coming weekend.
