Adventerous Eyes Musical Breakthrough‏

At an age when most toddlers would be taken up by the pleasures of childhood, fast-rising international reggae artiste Adventerous was busy venturing into the world of music.

The 19-year-old singer, born Alexander Walker, developed a special love for music while singing in church as a child and is now ready to show the world his musical talents, which he believes will span over into many generations.

Adventurous also backs himself as a very versatile and sharp artiste, not limiting himself to any one genre of music. However, despite the fact that he resides in New York, the confident teenager believes his music will also impact the Jamaican market.

“The difference with is that I have my own identity. I know exactly what I can offer to reggae music because I see myself as an overall artiste,” he said.

The young reggae chanter has so far released a 25-tracks mix tape titled‘Adventerous to di World’, which was produced by him for New York-based JK Productions. The mix tape also includes his ever-growing single Go with Me.

Although he boasts a wide variety of lyrics, the former Edison Technico High (a school based in New York) student, said he finds most comfort in reggae music as the messages in reggae are easily understood and appreciated.

“Reggae music is life and is understood by people who don’t even speak English. It’s fulfilling to the soul and brings that feeling of satisfaction,” he said.

While not being officially signed to any record label, Adventurous revealed that he is working closely with Dennis Livingston of Revolutionary Entertainment.

Adventurous warns that he will not be the typical up-and-coming artiste, who fades almost immediately after seeing a musical breakthrough. Instead, his desires for the next five years are very clear and if achieved, will place him amongst the bests in the industry.

“Because I have a unique sound and music that makes sense and for every season, I believe I will last for years to come. Well, in the next five years I will be well established and touring several countries,” he added.

Adventurous grew up with both his mother (Norma Starling) and father (Alexander). As a teenager, he would struggle occasionally with obedience but music always turned out to be his saving grace.

“From I was very small music played a major role in my life,” he recalled, while noting that his proudest moment in music thus far was performing alongside Gyptian at Club Envy recently.

In today’s ever-changing society it’s good for one to exemplify patience. Adventurous said that while he awaits his destiny with music, he will continue putting in the hard work.

“Yea I know things take time and nothing happens overnight. But, music is my life and I will not stop working hard until I achieve success in it,” he said.
