Gyptian for One Love Reggae Concert

Soul Train award winning reggae star Gyptian will headline this week’s One Love Reggae Concert on Tuesday, November 16th at the Negril Escape Resort in Negril. This will be his first appearance in Negril since he shot to international prominence earlier this year, with the smash Billboard hit Hold Yuh and his many fans in the west will no doubt expect a very exciting performance from him.

Gyptian came to local prominence earlier this decade with the hit song Serious Times, since then he has steadily grown to become one of the most consistent reggae singers in recent times. This can be attributed to quality of his songs and his electric personality along with the fact that he is a good stage performer.

Last Tuesday supporters of the weekly concert series were treated to a very exciting performance by veteran reggae artiste Tony Rebel.

Dub Inc. In Concert, La Cigale Paris November 22 and 23

Dub Inc.. is the group that best symbolizes the rebirth of Reggae made in France for ten years. The late 90s and early 2000s seemed to announce, in fact, the decline of a number of groups when an iconic voice, or rather two, and those of Bouchkour Komlan, and a group (Dub Inc.) Contributed a great breath of fresh air in the musical Reggae French.

The recipe: a group of friends inspired and able to write well-chosen texts, carried by melodies and effective voices of both singers admirably given: the first (Bouchkour) in a style mixing reggae and East has all the qualities of rootsman when the second (Komlan) infuses energy and strength of the Dancehall.

Behind the group has a strong musical foundation with Gregory "Zigo" Mavridokaris (drums), Jeremiah Greek (Guitar), Fred Peyron (Keyboards), Moritz Von Korff (bass) and Idir Derdiche (Keyboards), Benjamin Jouve (Sound engineer) ... . The result is explosive and will soon be talked about!

As is often the scene that the group needed. The combo native of Saint-Etienne has indeed shows pests that allow them to exist and persist while the mainstream media ignore (Not prepared it must be said to such a phenomenon). The Dub Inc.. and have rapidly taken well beyond their regional audience: the France of course but also Europe (Portugal, Spain, Poland, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Greece, Switzerland ...) where some of their benefits have been dated.

After presenting their "Diversity" (2003) and have won with "In the scene" (2005), they confirmed in 2008 that they were the headliners of the French Reggae and more with "Afrikya" voted best album of French at Reggae Reggae Web Awards 2008. Mixing Reggae and world music, the band conquered a new audience while satisfying the first fans. After two years of absence Dub Inc.. were therefore expected to turn their new achievement.

And he'll have to be very difficult not to be conquered by the group's fourth album! With "Out of Control", the group has indeed achieved a subtle blend of influences that have allowed them to install them at the top of the poster.

Taking the texts employed on dance rhythms such as "Back to back, offering excellent roots music where vocal flights of Bouchkour give chills (" Leave Time "), inviting Tarrus Riley, the new roots artist of the moment, the Dub Inc are always at the forefront of the spirit of revolt of a generation with "All they want".

The group stage energy is still there (with very restless "Get Mad") and should delight the public called to come and cheer on their new tour 2010-2011 with two dates in particular at La Cigale in Paris on 22 and November 23!
Dub Inc. The phenomenon is really not about to stop.
