Nas and Damian Visit The Promise Land

Taking a moment from their successful world tour in support of their landmark album, Distant Relatives, Grammy award winning reggae star Damian Marley and lyrical genius Nas visited Kingston, Jamaica to shoot a music video for the single Land of Promise.

Land of Promise is an interpretation of Dennis Brown's Promise Land; Dennis Brown is widely regarded as the Prince of Reggae and sample of his voice carries the hook of modern re-telling of the still relevant classic. Land of Promise is the latest single from the acclaimed collaboration album which produced a hit with As We Enter.

Famed music video director and rasta "breddren" Ras Kassa steps up to lead the video shoot which took place in Trench Town, the home of Damian's iconic father Bob Marley. As the international superstars Damian and Nas made their way through the maze of ghetto streets withvideo crew in tow, the crowd swelled; children gathered eager to see or even touch the musicians. They obliged. Nas and Damian signed autographs and took several pictures with supportive residents. Also on the set were reggae hit makers Jah Cure, Tarrus Riley and Bay C of T.O.KHeadline Logo.

Kassa has promised the video will be edited and premiered in short order. In the interim, Damian and Nas stole some time to enjoy Kingston's superhot night life. The pair made the rounds to Fiction Nightclub and Stone Love Weddy Weddy. When the brief visit was over, the brothers in spirit if not by blood, returned to touring obligations around the world. Stops in Australia and Trinidad are first on the calendar.
