Kingston, Jamaica December 13, 2010:— With a number of singles currently in rotation, upcoming dancehall artiste Royal has been busy making a name for himself in the dancehall industry. Since his introduction, Jamaica is still witnessing this new sensation taking the dancehall community by storm.

Royal has always known music was his destiny as nothing he ever did satisfied him as much. Leaving the University College of the Caribbean to enter the workforce full time, he worked in a number of corporate companies locally and overseas. However, after a while, found that there was something missing.

"The 9-5 life was not for me at all," Royal said. "After doing different jobs and working in different offices, I realised that no matter where I went, it always came back to the music. Mi just always love the music," he continued.

Since his introduction into the entertainment industry in 2008, Royal has worked with a number of producers like, Danny Champagne, Jam 2, Bornfire Music, BMG, Six Sense Music, and Oesala Music in Miami. Being the versatile entertainer that he is, Royal is also into production and in time to come, will release music from the label he recently created, RIF Music Group. "A number of the singles that will be released will be coming from my label RIF as we're trying to establish the label," Royal mentioned.

Royal is grateful for the reception he has received so far. On occasions Anthony B has called him to the stage on shows like West Kingston Jamboree, Island Explosion, GT Extravaganza as well as shows in Africa and the US. "The people have received me well, whenever I have hit the stage and the feeling on stage when you're performing is always magical."

Currently, the singles Badmind, To The Top and Party has been receiving much airplay. Newer singles like King Kong will be released soon, as Royal has been busy in the studio. He is expected to record with Hilltop Records soon as well as to release his mix-tape which will feature other genres of music like hip hop and rock.
