A Major Year For Romeich

Clothing designer and producer, Romeich Major is at it again with his Table Fi Table rhythm.

The rhythm which has taken the local and Caribbean airwaves by storm with songs including, Aidonia's Nuh Par Wid, Chino McGregor's Tun It Up An' Done, Ding Dong and Ravers Clavers' Table Fi Table, Konshens with A How Come, T.O.K. with Christmas Money, Versatile featuring Fambo's Money Again, Matterhorn and Richie Feelings with Last Sex Symbol and more.

Romeich says he is pleased with the exceptional response thus far and says fans can look out for more. "The riddim was released a few weeks ago and so far people have really taken on to the songs. The first song I released from the riddim was the TOK Christmas Money track and it took off, and I released the other tracks soon after in time for Christmas. All the songs have a different vibe to them but all have a mad party vibe that people can really dance and party to."

Romeich who is also known for his previous riddims, Bank In A Pocket featuring Versatile's Bank Inna Mi Pocket, Bounty Killer's Tired and more, the Stage Mix Riddim and Feel So Good Riddim has also been making major strides with his clothing line.

The multi-talented young man not only designed most of the artistes' outfits for this year's Reggae Sumfest, but he also designed all the corporate wear for Wisynco, Guinness, Red Stripe and more for the event. He went on to also design all the corporate outfits and those artistes donned for this year's prestigious Guinness Greatness In Concert staged in October at the National Stadium.

Still, that not all. Romeich is also the design maverick behind the outfits seen in telecommunications giant, LIME's advertisements, and if anyone has seen the LIME staff, they will recognize Romeich's signature touch. Hard to believe, but that's still not all the designer-turned-producer has been up to. He is also the designer behind Mr. G's 'swaggerific' outfit in the Claro advertisement.

Romeich says, "It's hard work but I love what I do. Sometimes I don't sleep for days, but it's worth it. Anybody who has ever worked with me knows I'm a perfectionist. If I'm putting my name on something I want it to be the best and not only that, but these outfits cost money, so I want the persons wearing them to get their money's worth. When people wear a Romeich outfit, not only is it a one-of-a-kind outfit, it's also very well made."

Romeich says fans can look out for more outfits and riddims from him over the next few weeks.

Chino and Romain Virgo Bring The Heat To Poland's Airwaves

Kingston, Jamaica (January 1, 2011) -- Reggae artistes Romain Virgo and Chino McGregor have been making quite the impact on fans in Poland.

Romain who earlier this week returned from a one month European tour, was voted as the best new talent in Reggae for 2010 by Polish Radio Euro listeners. The radio station which is located in Warsaw, Poland, and broadcasts sports, educational programs and music dominates 80 percent of the listening market.

Romain says, "That was surprising to hear; I'm really happy about that. The European tour exposed me to a wide range of people, not just areas populated by Caribbean persons, because that's rare. So I got to really showcase my talent and they loved it."

After returning to Jamaica, Romain immediately hit the stage and appeared on GT Taylor's Christmas Extravaganza, Claro Pepsi Teen Splash and Sting. Romain says, "Coming back home and performing for those at home felt good. They were responsive to the old and new material, so give thanks for that and the continuous support."

Meanwhile, reggae/dancehall artiste, Chino McGregor, who will be releasing his US album in March 2011 already has a growing fan-base in the country and will be the station's first reggae/dancehall interview for the new year. Tomorrow between 2-3 p.m., fans in Poland and other countries can tune in to Chino as he talks about his upcoming album and career plans.

"I just want to touch base with all my fans prior to the release of my album, which will be distributed in the US, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. I want persons who are familiar with me to get more familiar, and for those who may not be so acquainted with my music to get to know not only my music, but also about me as the artiste," says Chino.
