Third World Band To Perform at The Palmyra Foundation's Fundraiser

NEW YORK, NY (February 11, 2011): Third World Band, along with Tessanne Chin, Tarrus Riley and Dean Fraser, will perform at The Palmyra Foundation's Fundraising event on Friday, February 11, 2011. The event, which was originally scheduled for November 5, 2010, was postponed due to a tropical storm.

The annual event fundraising event, which will take place at the newly completed Palmyra Resort and Spa in Montego Bay, Jamaica, will feature a weekend of activities to include a beach concert on Friday, February 11, 2011 and a Benefit Dinner and Dance on Saturday, February 12, 2011 with a performance from American Idol Winner Ruben Studdard.

Proceeds from both events will go toward the purchase of books for 4 and 5 year old Jamaican school children for the 2011/2012 school year. Since the inception of the Foundation in 2007, more than 80 international volunteers have helped provide 72,000 books to 15,000 children in 80 schools across Jamaica's 14 parishes. To date, the Palmyra Foundation has donated books for over US$400,000.

Cat Coore remarks, "It takes a Village to raise a child. The Palmyra Foundation has become a part of a village that believes in giving children an opportunity. Third World Band is honored to be a part of the fundraising efforts with our performance in Montego Bay. It is our duty to help cultivate the minds of our future lawyers, doctors, politicians, musicians. . . you name it." Watch Cat Coore's Personal Invitation.

"In addition to headliner Third World Band, beloved singer Tarrus Riley, musician Dean Fraser and singer Tessanne Chin will be entertaining the crowds at the big Foundation beach bash. Aside from fabulous entertainment in a stunning setting, tickets include plenty of food & drink. Appleton Rum, J. Wray & Nephew, Coronas Extra, Ocean Spray, WATA, Coca Cola and Irie Cosmo will be on hand to make plenty of drinks available to party goers, while food stations will be provided by local restaurants Scotchie's jerk pit, Pier 1, Margaritaville, Groovy Grouper and Rainforest Seafood/ The Palmyra Resort & Spa." Digital Sham Gives New Meaning To The Term, Multi-Talented

Dancehall artist, Digital Sham, is raising the bar as a young talented artist, producer and engineer.

Based in Jackshill, St. Andrew, Shamarie Bogle, otherwise known as Digital Sham is a young man with a vision. He is only 18 years old and has already accomplished what so many that has been in the music business for years are still aspiring to attain.

Digital Sham operates his own recording studio, Estate Recording, and he owns not one but two record labels; Phamily Productions (where the focus is on roots reggae) and Digitalize Records (where the focus is on hardcore dancehall).

Already having one successful riddim driven compilation under his belt (Life Saver Riddim which was released in 2010 and features Bramma, Unicorn and others) Digital Sham is again putting his mark on the industry with two new releases, The General Riddim and Proverbs Riddim. Both riddims were released on iTunes on February 7th and will be available on emusic and other online retail stores shortly.

Persons can listen to both albums on you tube by clicking the respective link below.

In addition to being a producer and label owner, Digital Sham is also an artist himself. Concerned that he is investing too much time making beats, he has decided to spend more time behind the microphone in 2011. Digital Sham and his team have committed to releasing several riddims in 2011 all of which will feature singles by Sham.
