Protoje To Deliver Special Performance At Reggae Sumfest‏


Fast rising reggae artist Protoje is looking forward to his upcoming performance on this year’s staging of Reggae Sumfest. He will be performing on International Night 2, on Saturday July 23, also on the lineup for the same night is Hip Hop superstar Nicki Minaj, Chalice, Wayne Wonder, Jah Cure and Gyptian.

“I am very excited about my upcoming performance on reggae Sumfest, because unlike last year I will be performing with my band, Indiggnation this time around and that’s gonna make a big difference. We have been playing together for a while now and this will be our biggest show together. Musically I have grown a lot since the release of my album and I have a lot of music to give the audience and we are planning to bring a lot fun and excitement for the fans, it will be like a fun day,” said Protoje.

Since the release of his debut album 7 Year Itch the soft spoken reggae singer has seen his career grown to new heights. He recently scored his first number one hit with Rasta Love which was done in tandem with Kymani Marley. Protoje has also been very been busy performing and promoting his music overseas. To date he has toured Europe and South America. His most recent overseas engagement was in French Guiana where he performed on an event that was staged by the famous Chelsea football player Florent Malouda.

Teflon Shoots Medley Video For "Jah Nuh Let Me Go" & "That's Life"


Reggae artist Teflon just put the finishing touches on his latest medley video for "Jah Nuh Let Me Go" on the Grace & Gratitude Riddim (produced by Romeich Records) and "That's Life" on the Steady Flow Riddim (produced by GT Taylor).

The medley video was directed by Robyn Chyn of Enhanced Realizm Films and filmed in Jamaica's capital of Kingston. In "That's Life" the director brings to the screen the harsh reality of corruption, poverty and greed, while on opposite spectrum with "Jah Nuh Let Me Go" the director taps into the natural beauty and gifts of nature with Teflon performing his appreciation for his blessings.

The video will be released within the next few weeks and come on the eve of Teflon's promotional tour (fall 2011).
