O’Neil Duncan To Premier Love Video‏

“This piece will carry the viewer through on a life changing journey.

Fans of wholesome, thought provoking and inspiring music can look out for the music video premier for the song What We Need is Love, the foundation track from the album titled, I Know, which is the latest project from gospel artiste O’Neil Duncan.

The artiste who describes himself aptly as a life music singer rather than a gospel artiste insists that he chose this genre to stay clear of the traditional perception and often boxed in concepts as it relates to gospel music as whole.

Life music he says aims to point people in the right direction by showing in a practical way that God is indeed the way: “My music appeals to a wide cross section of society and I want to reach as many people as I can. The music I sing reflects life and so does this video. I am sure people will like it”.

Inspired by the high levels of crime and violence in Jamaica, the video captures in very simple yet realistic way how even an innocent child can be a positive catalyst for change. This piece will carry the viewer through on a life changing journey. Set at the Coronation Market Jamaica, the proverbial cultural melting pot of the island, the piece highlights a little girl, portrayed as an angel whose mission is to spread a message of love to those in despair. The message here is quite simple - even a little child shall lead them. As the colors of the market come alive and the activities unfold, the viewer will be enthralled by the artistic prowess of video director Asha from the talented Fareye Productions team.

The dramatic presentation is quite effective as the situations are real and so are the characters. Asha reveals that the characters ably contributed to the overall appeal of the video: “This video was set in Coronation market because we wanted to get an authentic fell of the hustle and bustle of Jamaica. The video while simple is very powerful and I think caries the message of the song effectively”.

A teacher by profession, O’Niel says he wants people to reach out to God at all times and in all situations: “What we Need is Love is a cry for Jamaica and the video I believe echoes that cry. I hope Jamaicans will gain inspiration from it”.

This is a must see video that will certainly strike home this weekend on national TV.
