Dennis Brown to Received National Honor‏

Dennis Brown is without a doubt one of Jamaica’s most influential music icons, throughout his storied career he recorded countless hit singles and albums. His body of work which spans from the late 60s to the time of his passing in 1999 is arguably one of the greatest catalogs of music in the modern era of Jamaican music. Such was the magnitude of his work that even today he still regarded as the Crown Prince of Reggae.

Brown's first recording was an original song called Lips of Wine for producer Derrick Harriott. However his first release was a single titled No Man is an Island, which he recorded at the age of twelve for Clement Coxsone Dodd's Studio One label, in late 1969. Over the next three decades he went on to record for numerous top producers scoring hit after hit both locally and abroad.

Dennis Brown also established himself as a music producer of note, while operating his own labels DEB and Yvonne’s Special. Under these labels he produced several of his own albums as well as songs for other artiste including Gregory Issacs, Bob Andy and Junior Delgado.

In recognition of his great outstanding musical achievements Dennis Brown will be honored by the Government and the people of Jamaica on the 17th of October, National Heroes Day, as the Order of Distinction Commander Class will be bestowed on him posthumously.

Serani Seranades Fans With Sweet Love

In days past, men were not encouraged to share their feelings. Instead, females would be the ones to share how they feel, and hope men connect with what they said. There is a male to female balance that's happening in this era. That balance gives men the confidence to share how they feel, i.e., share their emotions.

With swagger that can only be carried by an artist as stellar as Serani, fans are treated to lyrics from a male who is not afraid to let his girl know how he feels. In his new chune "Sweet Love," Serani sings:

"We don't talk much at all / when I get home / when the night falls / even when we're on the phone / when I see you / when you see me too / one things on my mind / mind - all the time / I just want to make sweet love to you / lay all night with you ...."

Ladies and gentlemen, this record right here is a hit! Trust me as the sun comes up and the setting of the same, this is a hit record.

Hit records are nothing new for Serani. As you'll remember, he scored hit records with "She Loves Me (2007), "No Games" (2008), and "Skip To My Luu" (2009) just to name 3 from his vast catalog. He's been producing not only for himself, but for others, as well as touring having just completed a successful tour across the U.S. and select dates in Canada this past summer.

In support of this new single (which we know is a smash!), Serani is accepting interview requests and will be doing jingles. Hit reply to this email, and we'll coordinate the coordination! If you would like Serani to host an event, perform at a show, or work on a music / production project with you or your artists, hit reply and we'll coordinate. As the artist said "No Games!" (I know that was a terrible joke!)
