Amanda Mona Making an Impact on the Local Music Scene

Reggae singer Amanda Mona is determined to make her mark on the local music scene with the release of her latest single titled Never Felt So Good, which was produced by Rocky Allen for RamBass Records. The single was released two weeks ago with an accompanying music video and has already begun to generate quite a buzz on local radio and television stations including IRIE FM, HITZ 92 FM and HYPE TV.

“I am really looking forward to making a big impact on the local music scene with my latest single, that’s one of my biggest goals right now. I intend to push this song as much as possible and use it and my music video to introduce myself the Jamaican audience,” said the singer.

This is the second single for the gifted artist who hails from the popular resort town of Negril; she released her first single which was titled Big Sound just a few months ago. Prior to pursuing a career in music Amanda Mona spent a number of years in the world of acting. She got involved in acting during her high school years while residing in Canada. After she graduated from high school she studied acting for a brief period at Humber College in Toronto before moving to New York where she attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film institute.

“Music and arts have always been a part of my life since I was a child, even before I left Jamaica I used to be involved with it in school, I sang, danced and acted. Amanda is currently busy in the studios working on new material as she prepares to release some more singles before the end of the year.

Karamanti Sends Letter to Fans and Supporters

Female sing jay, Karamanti has decided to advance her career by ensuring that she has more of a public presence. She recently sent the following letter to her fans and supporters:

Greetings my friends, I just wanted to personally touch base to let you know that I have officially released Karamanti Mix Volume 2 – “the most underrated from then to now”. This is 18 of my songs that I think reflects the fact that I am truly underrated as a lyricist in the reggae/dancehall industry.

This is not a mix CD or anything, it’s all-individual tracks so DJs can download and have the music to spin. It features older stuff as well as a whole bunch of songs recorded and released this year. Here is the download link: http://www.mediafire.com/?6tx39zg10qs3xu8 Feel free to share this link with your mailing list.

Also wanted to let you know that I have reconnected with Triple Crown of Blessed Coast Sound out of Bellingham so this means an official mix CD is coming soon! Last year him and I got together and did the Transition mix CD and that was crazy so I am anticipating great things with this new project. Here is a link to download some songs recorded specifically for this project: http://www.mediafire.com/?sb2fbobq8rrviv2

Finally, as you may already know I run a full-blown PR company and that is the reason I have not been pushing my career as an artist. I am pleased to let you know that I have hired someone that I am confident can takeover and run the company so this will afford me the luxury of just being an artist. So all I can say is “pay attention cause I’m gonna turn it up now”.

Thanks for all your continued support and be sure to link me on all my respective social sites. Here are the links:

Singing Melody Releases Video for Collide

With the global success of Singing Melody’s song “Collide” Shem Music Group has just released the video, adding momentum in market anticipation for the January 17th, 2012 release of the artists forthcoming album ‘They Call Me Mr. Melody.’

The video, shot entirely on location in Kingston, Jamaica, flows with the theme of a couple who is separated due to a mistake made on the part of the man. That mistake sees his in jail for some time, causing both he and his girl to reflect on happier times they experienced together. Singing Melody is the driving force throughout the video as his character drives the bus which connects the memories from the past, with the reconciliation of the future.

While on the set of the video shoot, Singing Melody was asked why he played the role of the bus driver, and not the male lead to which he replied “I liked the idea of me driving the bus because of what the bus represents in the video and to the theme of the song. The bus is just as important as the couple going through the difficulty!”

The video’s director, Asha McHail, from Far Eye Films, achieves video and cinematic success as audiences are held to the story displayed in every second of the video whose run time is 4:17. As for the plot twist at the end, the director says “we wanted to tease the audience and give them a surprise ending!”

About Singing Melody:

With his career as an international reggae recording artist span¬ning over 20 years, Singing Melody is no doubt in a musical class of his own. Since exploding on the local scene back in the early 90’s Melody’s sheer sophistication and diligence has earned him an illustrious portfolio of achievements ranging from chart topping singles to numerous award credits. A confident and engaging performer Melody offers up a dose of entertainment for both the eyes and ears.
