Drum Corps is described as a blend of dancehall and house music. Mario C said it wasn’t difficult to get Popcaan on board. “I'm constantly pushing the creative envelope when producing music and I see myself as a trendsetter and Popcaan is one of the few artistes who approach the music the way I see it. He is as talented and unique as they get so I didn't really have much of a choice in reaching out to him”, said Mario C.
The Wine track by Beenie Man and Boom Boom has been getting a lot of attention not only in Jamaica but overseas as well. Mario C had previously worked with Beenie Man on dancehall projects including the Scoobay rhythm.
“I have produced many hits throughout the years but the Beenie Man and Boom Boom track is something I have never seen before. From the first night we premiered the song it was a hit with ladies and I can't explain it but it does something to them and they can't contain themselves”, he explained.
“Beenie Man always kills these beats so it was a no brainer getting him involved in the project”, Mario C added. Konshens who is currently riding the charts with hits including Gal a Bubble and Do Sumn, has been making an impact with Burn Satan.Elephant Man’s Clean is another track which music lovers seen to can’t get enough of.Mario C says he is hoping to get other artistes on board the Drum Corps.
