Kashu Happy With New Management

Dancehall artist Kashu is not afraid of making serious decisions as it relates to the development of his career. The budding deejay recently decided that a change of management was what his career needed in order for him to move the next level. Kashu who is known for popular songs such as Nutten Nah Gwaan and Mi Amor is now under the management of Clarendon based music producer and business man Ryan Singh.

Mr. Singh who operates the Moby’s Family Recreation Centre in May Pen is the nephew of Courtney Singh the owner of the legendary Body Guard sound system. “I am a very serious person, I don’t have time to play around, I take my career very serious.

I realized that my previous management team had slacked of terribly, so I definitely had to do something about it. Right now I am working with Ryan Singh from Moby’s Entertainment and things are moving in the right direction, I feel confident that this move will bring good results,” said the artist.

Since Kashu linked up with Moby’s Entertainment, he has recorded several songs for the label. The label is currently preparing to release a number of these songs in time for the summer. “I have been very busy in the studios since I began working with Ryan, we plan to release a lot of songs for the summer. We have already released a single called Size Nuh Matter, we have also done the video for it too and its getting a lot of love in the dancehall, it’s also getting good airplay.”

Sizzla - "Don't Mislead The Youths' EP

U.S. based reggae label Locksmith Records is proud to release the latest studio effort from acclaimed reggae artist Sizzla, in the form of an EP entitled Don't Mislead The Youths. The EP was released today, April 24, 2012, and is now available in CD format in select stores, including VP Records. It is also available digitally worldwide via all major digital retailers, including iTunes and Amazon.

This rebirth of Sizzla Kalonji has reggae fans around the world buzzing, as the new EP sees Sizzla reclaiming his dynamic stance on various social issues. The first single "Learn To Read" speaks on the importance of education, as Sizzla advocates young people to learn to read and write, as a way to overcome ignorance, and therefore, progress in life. Other singles from the EP include "So Lovely," "Party," and the title track, "Don't Mislead The Youths."

"This EP confirms (yet again) that Sizzla is a talented, thoughtful, intelligent and fluent performer," states Gerry McMahon of Reggaeville.com. "His status as one of reggae's most commercially and critically successful contemporary artists will be reinforced by this 'Don't Mislead The Youths' EP.'

Don't Mislead The Youths is a collaboration between Lyon House Muzik (Glenroy "Frosty" Jackson and Ainsworth) and Locksmith Records (Mark "BUG" Wilkins), who diligently worked together with Sizzla to accomplish their goal of creating this EP. All songs were written and performed by Sizzla Kalonji for Zabogaubhi Music, and all tracks were produced and recorded by Lyon House Muzik in Kingston, Jamaica. The EP was mixed and mastered by Dave Downie and BUG for Unlock My Mind Music, at Hilltop Studio in Brooklyn, New York.
