Cherine Scores Another #1 With "Eagles & Doves" on NY Reggae Charts

Dancehall - Soul Queen Cherine has a lot to celebrate this week. A day away from celebrating her birthday, the singer has even more reasons to 'raise her glass and live it up' as her uplifting and empowering anthem "Eagles & Doves" takes over the New York Reggae Charts. A fan favorite, "Eagles & Doves" first entered the NY Reggae Charts 12 weeks ago and has made the upward trajectory to capture the number one spot.

The empowering single first hit # 1 on the Bess FM Top 10 Culture chart in Jamaica in August and is currently climbing the Jamaican Music Countdown Top 25 Charts. In the UK commercial radio stations such as BBC Radio 2 and KISS FM UK have also added the song to their playlists with KISS FM UK selecting it as their "Song of The Week" over the summer. "Eagles & Doves" is produced by Shadow and Dream Queen for Dancehall Soul Productions and is available on iTUNES and all major digital stores. "Eagles & Doves" is Cherine's second # 1 on the New York Reggae Charts.

Cherine will film a live acoustic video for "Eagles & Doves" this coming week for a viral campaign in support of her ongoing efforts to raise awareness about cancer among young people in Jamaica, especially young women. She has also partnered for a third year with Yoplait Yogurt and The Jamaica Cancer Society for the annual breast cancer campaign as their spokesperson.

No stranger to the New York Reggae Charts, Cherine has had previous top ten hits such as "Shine On Jamaica" which spent 4 weeks at # 1 in 2010. Other Cherine songs to hit the NY Reggae Top 25 Charts include, "Good Love", "Make Up Sex", "Talk if Yuh Talking", "Kingston State of Mind" and most recently "How We Living".
