Mr Vegas Was in Top Form Last Weekend

Despite facing challenges at home, Mr Vegas took his personal best to the biggest stages in North America this past weekend as he went from the bright lights of the New York City paparazzi, to his exclusive Birthday Bash in Toronto and headlining a weekend of carnival vibes in Miami alongside fellow world renowned Caribbean performers.

While personal relationship issues were very much on his mind, Vegas went confidently from strength to strength Thursday night through early Tuesday morning and proved music is critical to lifting the spirit and turning difficult challenges into positive opportunities.

It all started in the Big Apple Thursday October 4th. After warming up on Miss Lily's radio Mr Vegas headed to the popular music venue and place to see and be seen, Joe's Pub, where Max Glazer of Federation Sound deejayed and Mr Vegas headlined the annual Rockhouse Foundation benefit to support youth in Jamaica. Backed by Tony Bone on acoustic guitar, Mr Vegas performed a number of songs including an inspired cover of "Rise", the chart topping hit from UK soul singer Gabrielle.

After the benefit, Vegas linked with pop singer Chris Brown and fellow taste makers as the stars turned out to support the album release of neo-soul singer Miguel at trendy NYC night spot Kiss & Fly. With "Bruk It Down" making major moves in New York, Vegas also made scheduled stops at New York's #1 urban radio stations including Power 105 hosted by DJ Self and HOT 97 to chat about the success of "Bruk It Down" where the conversation delved into the personal as Vegas opened up about the turmoil in personal life with HOT 97's Cipha Sounds, Peter Rosenberg & Kay Foxx. From New York, Mr Vegas brought his earthstrong energy to Toronto’s Luxy Nightclub for an exclusive Birthday Bash celebration hosted by Mark Strong and Spex Da Boss of G98.7.

It was the weekend's most anticipated event as Toronto’s finest overflowed both in and outside the club featuring an overwhelming turnout of female fans who accounted for nearly 90% of the capacity crowd. With DJ Gun Starr and dancer Fina setting the stage, Vegas proceeded to set waistlines a-winding and spirits soaring.

Later, flanked by his ladies he cut his specialty birthday cake graced with a portrait of the artist himself in the club’s VIP section surrounded by lights flashing and bottles poppin'. Flying high, Mr Vegas took to the skies early Saturday morning to reach the South Florida beaches for a series of appearances at Miami Carnival. In true carnival fashion, things got started with the sold out Vaughn’s Red Eye held at King of Diamonds where Vegas hosted a wild Bruk It Down contest.

Armed with the most sensual moves and sexy outfits, contestants left nothing to chance and little to the imagination as they outdid each other to impress the host who stayed on for photo ops with everyone who took part. The party moved to Vale Vibes dual reggae soca event at the exclusive Briza Nightclub in downtown Miami where Vegas flattened the crowd serving up his reggae/soca fusion hits like “Bruk It Down”, "Tek Way Yuhself" and more to fans eating up every moment before setting his sights on Rave.

Rave could barely contain the 12,000 strong crowd waiting for Mr Vegas who took the stage at 4am. DJ Gun Starr was first brought on by Major Lazer x Black Chiney's Walshy Fire before Fatta Diamond asked Mr Vegas to join them drawing a massive response from the crowd who proceeded to sing along to a medley of Vegas's dancehall classics from the past three decades including "Heads High", "Hot Gyal Today" and "Pull Up".

As the only dancehall act on this soca event performing alongside soca heavyweights Machel Montano and Kes and the Band, Vegas made the show his own as the girls whined non-stop to a special mix of dancehall and soca vibes.

Sunday brought a new slate of parties including the year to year Jabba Strikes Back at Bongos inside American Airlines arena, home to the Miami Heat. The heat was certainly on when Vegas took the mic to perform to another capacity crowd.

And finally, Monday afternoon's Foam Fete at Villa 221 Mansion hosted by NYC's Platinum Kidz had to put water on the flames of this year's Miami Carnival. The carnival flames are never completely out and this year both carnival goers and carnival watchers can hold onto the memories with the 'Welcome to Miami' Supa Soca mixtape created by DJ Crown Prince, Barrie Hype, Jester and Dr Jay.

This year, the mix features exclusive tracks from Mr Vegas including "Run Up and Down" and the "Beautiful Life remix" with Shurwayne Winchester as well the new smash remix Party Tun Up featuring Kes and Bunji Garlin. And finally, Mr Vegas would like to express his gratitude to all his fans, family and friends for all the support and love throughout the past couple weeks and now its time to get back to the music.

"Thanks to all my fans who said a prayer for the I and send a word of blessings to rest up" said Anthony B, after being released from the hospital yesterday.

Doctors diagnosed Anthony B with exhaustion and dehydration, which can be attributed to his jampact schedule he has had throughout the year. Promoting his 'Freedom Fighter' album, which was released digitally in May 2012 and will be in stores on October 22, 2012, Anthony B's schedule has been quite hectic.

"Anthony B has been on the road this year covering the globe, with no break in-between. He has toured Europe, Africa, UK , India, Austrailia and still found time to take some spot dates in Barbados and the US" says Ronnie Tomlinson, artist publicist.

As per doctors orders Anthony B needs a lot of rest and will need to reschedule his UK and Europe tour dates. Some of these dates are three shows scheduled in the UK; October 12, October 28th and November 7, which is The Red Bull Anniversary at the Wembley Arena.

As for the Europe Tour, the Agency BA2 Bojan in Europe, which is the agency who handled the bookings for this Europe tour, will correspond with all promoters explaining the situation and making any necessary accomodations. Anthony B at this time feels so compelled not to disappoint his fans nor promoters yet, must adhere to the rules of nature
