Chronixx Cancels June 9th Hartford Performance

Hartford, CT (May 29th, 2013) Last night it was brought to our attention via email that reggae artiste Chronixx will not be able to honor his commitment to perform at the West Indian Social Club of Hartford, CT on Sunday June 9th, 2013.

This comes after months of preparation & promotion & days; after we were forced to postpone the original date. When we were contacted just days before the original show we were told by Chronixx’s management; that the issue would be resolved in time for the new date. We printed new materials bought more ads.

Just to receive a brief email saying 'oops sorry' we can't make that one either? We were informed by His management that the issue to file the required travel documents is the result of 'feet dragging' and waiting until the last hour to handle what should have been done earlier.

Chronixx ‘s management approached us about staging this event, we poured our hearts & time into promoting not only the event but the artiste. We received nothing but unprofessional conduct from taking a month to receive advertisement vocals to this latest unfortunate series of events.

On behalf of Bigga Yard, DNZ Productions & Billionare Ent we would like to offer refunds to all ticket holders & extend our humblest apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this lack of consideration on the part of the artiste.

We strive to bring quality events to CT & will continue to do so. We are seeking legal Counsel for compensation. Thanks for your patience and understanding with this matter. For information and questions please feel free to contact us at: divanikkiz@gmail.com.

Toots Hibbert Cancels Tour: Singer Injured After Being Hit By Glass Bottle

The Huffington Post: Toots Hibbert was struck by a glass bottle a fan threw at him earlier this month, an incident that resulted in injuries serious enough for the reggae singer to have to cancel his entire tour.

Billboard reports that Hibbert -- whose real name Frederick Hibbert -- is still undergoing treatment for injuries stemming from the vodka bottle a 19-year-old hurled at his head at a concert in Richmond, Va.

Hibbert, who fronts Toots and the Maytals, had to cut the band's set at the Dominion Riverrock outdoor sports and music festival short after the attack. Police said the concertgoer in question has been charged with aggravated assault.

Ishawna Continues to Rise

Downsound recording artiste Ishawna is unstoppable; the super talented beauty is rapidly emerging as one of the hottest female acts on the local music scene. Ishawna recently scored her second number one hit with the video for her thought provoking single called Murderer which samples Buju Banton’s 1990s smash dancehall anthem of the same name.

The video for Murderer is currently number one on HIT LIST Chart Show’s Dancehall Chart which is aired on CVM TV weekly. “I feel great, I’m feeling very happy that the video is at number one, it’s a nice video and I’m very thankful the fans love it and are voting for it.

This is a different type of song it’s a song that everyone can relate to and I think it has a very strong mainstream appeal,” said the artiste. Ishawna recently completed a promotional tour of New York City.

“The tour was very good I did a lot of interviews and promotional stops that really gave me a good opportunity to connect with dancehall music fans in New York,” said the artiste. She has also been very busy on the local scene performing on a number of events including the IRIE FM In Di Area road shows. “Performing on the IRIE FM road shows was another wonderful experience for me; it was really great, I got to interact with fans all over the island in places like Montego Bay, Papine, Spanish Town and Trelawny.

The hard working singer is currently promoting a number of new singles. I have a single with Ninja Man called Summer, it’s going to be huge a lot of people are already talking about it. I’m also getting some good feedback about No Fear on the Good Good Productions label and Teeny Tiny on Downsound’s Quarter Mile rhythm.”

Ishawna says she doesn’t plan to ease up with her career. “I feel very humble and thankful for all that I’m achieving as an artiste and I plan to continue working as hard as I can to fulfill all my musical dreams. I have to thank all the fans and the people who support my career for the love they are showing me.

I want all of them to know they can expect a lot of fresh new music from me in the coming months. We’ve been in the studio at Downsound experimenting with some new sounds and the results have been very good, so I will be dropping a whole lot of new singles soon,” said the artiste.
