Christopher Martin Rocks the Crowd at Grace Jamaica Jerk Festival

International, young, hip and soulful reggae crooner Christopher Martin rocked the crowd at this years Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York. Christopher Martin entered the stage to a warm welcome from the over 10,000 people in attendance inside Roy Wilkins, Queens. The family filled event with headliners Shaggy and Fab 5 was ready and waiting to see Christopher Martin.

Entering the stage to screaming female fans Christopher Martin wasted no time to take the audience on a musical journey. With a forty-five minutes performance set, Christopher Martin was able to please the audience with songs like Paper Loving, Chill Spot and Buss a Blank. Christopher Martin dedicated a song to one of the most influential persons in his life "Mama Cheeny".

The song titled 'Buss-A-Blank' received at least 3 forwards from the crowd who response to Christopher Martin's request to "Buss a Blank fi You Mama" was thunderous. Another high moment of his performance was giving the crowd his rendition of Marvin Gaye "Sexual Healing".

It was evident that the crowd came to see and hear Christopher Martin sing his hit single "Cheaters Prayer". As the band began to play the instrumental for his hit single "Cheaters' Prayer", the crowd immediately began singing "Its not the first nor the last, so much pretty girls a pass," and the rest was history. "It was a great show and the fans came out in numbers, I'm happy to be a part of this great festival and big up VP records and everyone who considered Christopher Martin for being a part of this years festival" says Christopher Martin.

Gyptian Presented With Gold Plaque for "Hold You"


This past Sunday (July 21), Gyptian made a surprise guest appearance at the third annual Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival, which attracted over 15,000 people to Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, NY to celebrate the finest Caribbean cuisine, culture and music. Irie Jam's 93.5 FM radio personality DJ Roy called the reggae star to the main stage to present him a RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) certified Gold plaque for Gyptian's #1 hit single "Hold You."

The title-track from Gyptian's Billboard Top 200 album is the first track from a Jamaican reggae artist to sell over 500,000 digital units in almost a decade. This milestone places Gyptian among an elite class of Jamaican artists including Shaggy, Sean Paul and Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley.

After Gyptian graciously accepted the award, he performed the anthem to the jam-packed crowd, which also saw performances from Christopher Martin, Fab 5 and festival headliner Shaggy with surprise guest Maxi Priest.

This week, Jamaican reggae singer Gyptian also drops his brand new single "Vixen" off his highly anticipated album Sex, Love and Reggae. The sizzling anthem features singer-songwriter Angela Hunte, who penned the Grammy-winning song "Empire State of Mind" for Jay-Z featuring Alicia Keys and contributed to Snoop Lion's latest album Reincarnated. "VIxen" is produced by the Jerry "Wonda" Duplessis, whose credits include the iconic Fugees’ album The Score and hits for Destiny's Child, Shakira, Mary J. Blige, Estelle, Justin Bieber, Miguel, Lupe Fiasco and more.

Gyptian's fourth studio album Sex, Love and Reggae, scheduled to drop this fall on VP Records, is the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed Hold You. Sex, Love and Reggae will feature an all-star cast of artists and producers including Diplo, Jerry "Wonda" Duplessis, Linton "TJ" White, JusBus, Stanley "Rellee" Hayden, Shane Brown and more.

Wayne Marshall Drops Video for "I Know" (VIBE Premiere)


Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley Produced Single and Cameos in Video Dancehall star Wayne Marshall drops his latest visual for "I Know," directed by Jay Will and shot in Kingston, Jamaica. Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, who produced the contagious single for Marshall's upcoming album Tru Colors slated for September 2013 on the Marley-owned label Ghetto Youths International, also makes a special cameo appearance in the video.

Wayne Marshall, along with the rest of the Ghetto Youths Crew, is slated to tour the U.S. east coast around his album release. Tour dates to be announced shortly.

Triple The Focus Featured on the Homepage of Issuu


Caribbean E-Magazine, Triple the Focus, has landed a spot on the homepage of Digital Publishing website, Issuu. Out of 11 million publications, Triple the Focus' June 2013 issue featuring reggae superstar Shaggy, and July 2013 issue with 2010' Miss Universe runner-up Yendi Phillipps, are both prominently featured on the site. Issuu houses 11 million publications - 25,000 new publications each day - and a reach of 72 million people every month.
