Konshens Returns to Uganda and Breaks Previous Record

International dancehall artiste Konshens is no stranger to Uganda, he has made it public that there is a special connection when it comes to Uganda.

"Uganda is a place that I have been connected to since the first time, even on the social media I have a huge Ugandan following, so just to be here to entertain them is a blessing". says Konshens.

On Friday August 24, Konshens headlined 'Pepsi Presents' alongside the angelic songstress Alaine to a crowd of over 60,000 screaming fans.

Konshens first performance in Uganda drew record numbers for a dancehall artist in Uganda with over 25,000 people, he did not expect to double much less almost triple the numbers this year.

While in Uganda last year there was a connection and a vibe Konshens felt with the people of Uganda and with the help of his management team Konshens decided to contribute to the education of the children of Uganda. Konshens and his management team decided to start a book drive, requesting books, pencils, and school supplies using his international reach and what a success it was.

Students at Kololo Secondary School in Kampala, Uganda Say Thank You to Konshens

"If anyone told me that one day in the future I'd be in Uganda giving books and supplies to school kids I'd laugh at you. I never saw myself making such an impact so far away from my home (Jamaica). Its a great great feeling." says Konshens.

After his performance in Uganda, Konshens departed the venue and headed straight to the airport, where he was off to London, UK. Konshens performed at indigo 2 at The O2 alongside soca artist Destra Garcia and Fuse ODG of the UK. With no time to return home to Jamaica, Konshens heads to New York for the Labor Day weekend festivities, where he has five shows in 3 days and scheduled to shoot his video for "To Her With Love". Konshens will also take some time out of his hectic schedule to speak with radio personality Pat McKay on The Joint (Sirius XM) on Friday, August 30th.

Danielle DI and Tiana Merge Forces

The dancehall rebel and the dancehall duchess have merged forces to collaborate on the track, Talk It Out. The very catchy tune which is expected to be a female favorite was recently recorded at Taxi Records. “Talk It Out, is one of the easiest songs I’ve ever recorded. We had a great chemistry in the studio. The lyrics and ideas came quickly and it was smooth sailing.

We even have the same first name, this connection was meant to be, it was ordained,” Danielle D.I. enthusiastically shared. Tiana endorsed D.I.’s statement and looks forward to the project, “It was indeed a pleasure, we share a lot in common, especially as it relates to creative ideas.

We have already drafted plans for the video. When it premieres it will show our male counterparts that we have the ability to help drive the music further. It was a dream come true to work with the great musicians, Sly and Robbie.”

Talk It Out was co-written with Paul “Patchy” Wright and produced by Sly Dunbar, Robert Shakespeare and Orville Baker of One Pop Music.

Danielle D.I. has recently released her first album, The Rebel that features collaborations with Shabba Ranks, Gramps Morgan and Cherine Anderson. Tiana is one of the first upcoming female acts from Jamaica to ever headline her own seven weeks European tour with sold out audiences on her own merit. Danielle Isaacs and Dannielle "Tiana" Shand were meant to make that connection, this was ordained... Danielle D.I.
