Sweet Personality Brings Sweet Music To The Airwaves


Something sweet and soothing has taken the airwaves by storm. Nature's Way Entertainment has embarked on a most ambitious task to date. The Sweet Personality riddim project, an awe inspiring collection of ear candies has been unleashed onto unsuspecting music enthusiasts. The Various artistes compilation Sweet Personality Riddim Vol. 1 delivers a honey tone riddim with conscious and emotional messages.

The artistes, the lyrics and melodies and the beat are comparable to none. Each song tells a tale that persons can easily relate to. In a release to the media, producer Garfield Cowan reveals, "Our intension is to provide music lover with the musical vibes that will take you to that special place that only extraordinary music can transport you to. You'll find everything positive in this album, from reality, roots and culture to lovers rock, tradition, and all shades of a Sweet Personality".

Among the artistes featured are international reggae artiste Jah Cure who displays his powerhouse vocal on Wake Up. Also delivering in the same vein of conscious messages are Chezidek with Save My Life; King Mas with Defend It; Lutan Fyah with Show Love, Zamunda with Life; Chevaughn with Mercy and Alva with Believe in Love. Jermere Morgan, son of Morgan Heritage member Gramps Morgan shows he has the goods to be on the same level as the big guns, with his effort titled Be with You. 

Other tracks include Let Me Love You Tonight by Wayne Wonder, First Love by Mr. Melody, Forever by Denver and D&D Family, and Love's not Enough by Jhamiela. The Sweet Personality Riddim compilation is now available on all major digital retailers from VPAL and is distributed physically by VPAL of VP Records. Production was handled by Garfield and Sanya Cowan for Natures Way Entertainment Records, an emerging new label that recently released the Busy Signal hit You and Me. 

The track was featured taken from the Natures Way Various Artists album Soul Reggae as well as the recent Reggae Gold compilation from VP Records. Natures Way Entertainment has several new songs ready to launch at the end of the year. Next in line is a combination single with Wayne Wonder and Alva entitled "Hour Glass" and an original solo track from Alva called "I May Not Be", in which he belts out sounds reminiscent of Peter Tosh. 

Another label mate who is geared up and ready to start hurling some heavy material is King Mas, who recently released two singles, "Rasta Evolution" and "Ocean Of Emotion", taken from his upcoming album. Naturally, you can expect the real thing from Natures Way Entertainment - music with substance that is here to stay.

Nature Creating A Buzz With "No Guns Around"


Downsound recording artiste Nature is creating quite a buzz on the local music scene with his recently released Dancehall track titled No Guns Around.

The single that was produced by Downsound Records is the Reggae singer’s first officially released Dancehall track. “I’m happy with the response the song is getting, its my first Dancehall release and the people love it.

Most of all I am happy that the message is getting out there, because I’ve seen what gun violence does. I want the youths to choose education over guns,” said Nature.

Nature recently performed for the National Parenting Counsel at event called the National Parenting Village that was held at the National Arena.

“It was a joy performing at the event alongside other artistes such as Exile Di Brave and Indecka. There were a lot of kids there with their parents, everybody had a great time. I really like performing for the children.” According to Denise Isis Miller the artiste coordinator of the National Parenting Village event, Nature’s performance was awesome. “I’m so proud of Nature he delivered a wonderful performance at the National Parenting Village concert. 

His music is very positive and everyone at the show enjoyed his performance tremendously. All the artistes on the bill did well, it was a wonderful event,” said Miller. Nature is booked to perform on several shows over the next few weeks. On the 29th of November he will be the headline act on, the Conscious Reggae Party live show series which will be held at the, Healthy Appetite Restaurant, on Hagley Park Road. 

The following night Nature will perform alongside No-Maddz at Countryside Club on Halfway Tree Road. On the 7th of December he is slated to headline the monthly Live at Nanook concert at Nanook on Burlington avenue. 

Come Boxing Day night he will head over to Portmore to perform for his fans at Sting 30. “I will be doing a lot of shows locally over the next few weeks, I’m really looking forward to these events, because sometimes I don’t get to do much local shows. Over the last couple of months I have been been performing mainly in the US,” said the artist.

New Millionaire Entertainment Launches Record Label


In late 2012, New Millionaire Entertainment (NME) Owner/CEO Clinton Garibaldi of Jabari Productions decided to combine the legacy of Jeremy Stenson (Rocky), former A&R at Warner Bros, Dave Grant of Island Media Entertainment Group and Earl Samuels. Combining the legacies of four significant players in the industry, NME embarked on a new tradition and a newly formed label.

Clinton's professional career in the industry began in 2000 as owner P&L Records where he spearheaded major collaborations on the Holiday (Medley).

He has worked with numerous houshold name artists such as, Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Bounty Killer, Maxi Priest, Selah and Buju Banton to name a few. His success in the industry lead him to form Colossal Entertainment where he worked with Omillio Sparks and Freeway formerly of Rockafella Records among others.

Vice President Dave Grant formed Island Media Entertainment Group in 2006, which now provides a wide array of multimedia and promotional services to culture market segments throughout the Caribbean diaspora. In addition to his duties as VP, Dave also interacts closely with the company's public relations team by managing the labels online content and advertising endeavors. Through his connections, strong understanding of diversified marketing and online promotions, Dave makes the marketing of the company and its artists a priority to be taken to a global level. At the tender age of 10 Rocky started his journey into the industry under the tutelage of the great Reed family from Laface Fame and was already making his first musical earnings at 15. He was an executive intern at Jive, Warner Bros, Hitz Commitee, and Grind Hustle, which all provide him with exceptional tools for his career today. It was while at the majors that he was able to create a talent booking and tour routing company with worldwide connections working with labels like Young Money - Cash Money and artist like Trey Songz, Jim Jones, Tyga, Trina, Rick Ross and the list goes on. 

Rocky as they say, has that talent for discovering talent. In Jamaica, Director of Marketing Earl Samuels brings a wealth of experience to New Millionaire Entertainment having been in the night club entertainment industry for over twenty years. He was a member of the Brian "Ribby" Chung led Night Time Promotion team, which included Cactus and Asylum Night Clubs. He created and conceptualized new marketing strategies that changed Night Club entertainment throughout the Caribbean resulting in many awards. 

Mr. Samuels is regarded as a consummate businessman who has ventured in many other areas of the entertainment business such as Concert/Show Promoter, Music Production, Marketing and Promotion. His accomplishments have made him very popular among his peers and the patrons who have supported his endeavors over the years. He is regarded as a very passionate and detailed person and as selfless team player. 

This is a team of experienced individuals assembled by Clinton to apply their expertise to NME's artists through artist development, event production, management and successfully executing projects. Clinton himself pays close and careful attention to every detail the day to day business and artist development. New Millionaire Entertainment recently inked a distribution deal with iNgrooves Fontana/Universal Music Group. This distribution deal allows it's artistes to reach an even larger marketplace through wider channels. 

NME has also engaged a production and distribution team that is ready to deliver for it's roster and distribution partners. There goal is not only to grow and develop a vast and sustainable fan base, but also to provide financial support for its artists by securing secondary and tertiary revenue streams via licensing and branding procurement, and in doing so utilize it's artistes talent in new and exciting ways.

Ginjah's Sweet Killer Tops Fi Wi Choice Top Ten Countdown


The music video for his hit single titled Sweet Killer recently topped the Fi Wi Choice Top Ten Countdown. “It’s a nice feeling to have a hit single.

I am happy that the song and its video is doing so well. Sometimes you can’t predict which song is going to hit, you just have to do good music and let the people decide.

It is clear that the people have made this song and its video a hit. I am truly grateful to all the people who are supporting my music,” said Ginjah.

Sweet Killer is also doing well on several other charts including the Hit List Reggae Chart on CVM TV where it is in the number 3 position.

Ginjah has been very busy in the studios lately recording for various producers such as Weepow of Stone Love, DJ Frass, Mr. G and Jungle Josh from California. “Right now Sweet Killer is hot and I am not going to sit back and let the momentum die. 

So far I have recorded several new tracks for producers like Wee Pow from Stone Love, DJ Frass, Goofy and Jungle Josh, he’s producing my album. So the fans are going to get a lot of new music from Ginjah over the next few months.” Also on the cards for Ginjah are a number of overseas engagements. 

“I have a lot of foreign shows coming up and my management team is also negotiating tours with promoters in Europe, Japan and Africa. I have toured some of those places before and the demand for me to return is growing, so I will be very busy on the road over the next few months,” said the artiste.
