Blue Lava (@bluelavaent) Erupts with the Skalava Riddim

Blue Lava Entertainment delivers new ska reggae gems on its latest release, the Skalava Riddim – Various Artists, available worldwide from all major digital retailers on November 4, 2014, with pre-order available now, from FOX FUSE.

The up-tempo tunes take us back to the ska period of reggae, where much enjoyment was found in the energetic and niche reggae genre.

Popular Guadeloupean artist Tiwony teams up with Trinidadian reggae entertainer Jah Defender on the two-track compilation. The short but sweet collection keeps Blue Lava in the reggae spotlight, which it has occupied for some time now.  

Producer Kennard “Blue Lava” Mc Allister was formerly part of Trinidad &Tobago’s premier reggae label, Studio 53 Entertainment. While there, he crafted one of the biggest dancehall riddims to ever come out of Trinidad, the 2012 Riddim. Now he continues to bring us new reggae classics under his own outfit, Blue Lava Entertainment.

Soca hit house MillBeatz Entertainment teams up with Trinidadian thriller Islandboy Rick J for the steamy new party anthem “Give She Wine,” a frontrunner for the 2015 Trinidad Carnival season, available worldwide from all major digital retailers on October 20, 2014 from FOX FUSE.

Soca production house Kode 784 Productions teams up with Trinidadian thriller Rayzor (RQB) for the steamy new party anthem “Sandwich,” its first official release for the 2015 Trinidad Carnival season, available worldwide from all major digital retailers on October 20, 2014 from FOX FUSE.

The provocative and catchy single is the perfect soundtrack for anyone attending a soca fete or party, and captures the essence of Caribbean carnivals for its listeners. “Sandwich” debuted on the iTunes U.S. Reggae Hot Tracks chart, during its week of release.

Rayzor (RQB) is already known to international fans after he won the International Soca Award for “Best USA Song” and “Artist of the Year” back in 2013, for his massive hit “Sponsor Meh." Now with his new smash “Sandwich” in hand, he kicks off the 2015 Carnival season on a high note.  

Based in Brooklyn, New York with St. Vincentian roots, Kode 784 Productions celebrates its fifth year in music production and has been successful from birth, with producer Kevin Sardine at its helm. Trinidadian hit-house 1st Klase Records blazes with its hit fusion single “Culo,” from Venezuelan-born, Trinidadian-bred reggaeton/soca sensation Mr. Renzo, and featuring Jamaican dancehall star Busy Signal, available worldwide from all major digital retailers on October 20, 2014 from FOX FUSE.

The single first ignited the 2014 Trinidad Carnival season and is now available to soca, dancehall and reggaeton lovers across the globe, for the first time. It also received a coveted featured on the iTunes U.S. Reggae Hot Tracks chart, during its week of release.

Buzzing with its Latin and soca flavors, 1st Klase Records ups the ante with dancehall megastar Busy Signal, who adds hardcore dancehall tones to the tune, giving fans a killer party anthem. Starting out as a producer over eight years ago, Klase Gonzales added to his repertoire as a dancer in Machel Montano's HD band. “Healing of the Nation” is the title of Reggae artist CALI P’s long awaited new release. As an artist who enjoys having the time to breathe and mature between musical projects, his fans will be delighted to know that he will be dropping this explosive 9 track reggae EP on November 7th 2014.

From the moment the Rastafarian artist CALI P introduced his first album "Lyrical Faya" 7 years ago, people were aware that the message and culture is essential to his music, so naturally he decided that is was time for more "Word Sound and Power".

The idea, alongside his label HEMP HIGHER was to round up some of the best reggae producers / composers and to compile these tracks into one defined project which will definitely keep his fans more than satisfied until the release of his third full Studio Album “musiCALI sPeaking” on which he has been working in Jamaica over the past 3 Years alongside legendary producer BOBBY “DIGITAL B” DIXON, SHELDON “CALIBUD” STEWART and CRAIGY “GIARK” DIXON.  

Top reggae producers who collaborated on the EP are JR BLENDER (Mad decent / So Shifty), JUGGLERZ (Germany’s top sound system), RIGA & JAHNATON (Hemp Higher), PHAR PHAR & JAHDIL(Ice Drop Rec.) just to mention a few… In contrast with his last release “Unstoppable” (2011) CALI P chose to keep this EP 100% reggae. 

Over the past few years CALI P has really immerged into Jamaican culture by living in Kingston, and he wishes to contribute to the movement and to remind people what the essence of reggae music is: ROOTS AND CULTURE. JahLight Records (@jahlight) Releases Jehovah Riddim

The world needs more God. That’s a sentiment being echoed by one of the Caribbean’s foremost recording houses that’s responsible for producing much of the region’s gospel and gospel-reggae hits. Jahlight Records’ head of productions, Akeunde Pemberton is not taking lightly, his mission to infect the world with the word of God through music.

His latest project, the Jehovah Riddim capitalizes on the talent of several musical minds, showcasing the greatness of God and encouraging the world to follow Him. For Akeunde and his team, creating a riddim of this caliber, comes second nature.

It’s been their calling, and Pemberton says looking around the world and seeing much of the destruction currently taking place, his desire to promote God, has never been stronger. The riddim, which features 12 artistes will be released on iTunes, Amazon, Juno and others on October 28th by digital music distributors, Fox Fuse.  

It’s the fourth project out of Jahlight Records for the year so far- a feat the team is tremendously proud to have accomplished. “We’ve delivered three other influential items of music for the year, namely, Kwesi Fontinelle’s ‘Reconciliation’ EP, Excellent’s ‘Love Language’ and the Resurrection riddim,” said Pemberton. He noted that the Jehovah riddim is now a follow up to a riddim done in 2013, called ‘The Lamb of God Riddim.’ Pemberton makes it clear that God must be glorified, especially during this time when men have become lovers of themselves and corruption and crime has become rampant, worldwide. His projects are aimed at lifting up God’s name and reminding the world that without God, we are nothing. 

Beyond the release of the riddim on October 28th, Pemberton explained that a medley video is in the works and it will likely feature the 12 artistes- each of whom have delivered powerful songs on the riddim. “We have Virtuous with a track called, ‘All I Need Is You’, Zion with ‘Don’t Worry’, Peculiar Princesses with ‘Hit Me With Your Love’, Silent Sah’s, ‘Give My Life To You’, Afiya Modeste with ‘Joy’, Designer’s Original ‘No one Sweeter’, Justice Feat Mr. Song, ‘Different Love’, Matthew Greenidge,‘He Loves Forever’, Kwesi Fontinelle’s ‘One God’, King Solomon with ‘How Long Again’, Righteous with ‘Amazing Grace’, and Excellent Feat Messiah’s ‘You’re the Reason’, he said. 

Pemberton says 2015 promises to be a great year for Jahlight Records- the team already having begun work on the ‘Final War’ riddim, Kwesi Fontinelle’s ‘My Hope’ album and Excellent’s ‘Spiritual Journey’ EP. He said the year ahead will also see the launch of a new gospel-reggae artiste by the name of ‘Righteous’, someone he assures is worthy of recognition.
