Rick Ramoutar & Denise Belfon’s (@TrueSaucyWow) “Dheen Ta Na” Cops iTunes Feature

Trinidad-based hit house MillBeatz Entertainment delivers a spicy combination with new track “Dheen Ta Na” from chutney and soca stars Rick Ramoutar and Denise Belfon, available worldwide from all major digital retailers on October 27, 2014, from FOX FUSE.

The fusion of chutney and soca beats brings cultural flavors of Trinidad and Tobago and receives a prized feature on the iTunes U.S. Reggae Hot Tracks chart, during its week of release.

“Dheen Ta Na” features two top stars of soca and chutney - the genre that is an offshoot of soca, which incorporates East Indian instrumentation and Bollywood beats. Chutney thriller Rick Ramoutar teams up with soca songstress Denise Belfon for the duet single.

Ramoutar, a household name in Indo-Caribbean households and famous for his chutney party anthems, returns with this new banger and adds to his audience and fan base with soca’s Belfon. MillBeatz Entertainment was formed by producer David Millien, whose talent and fusion sounds have made him a mainstay on Trinidadian radio and on soca platforms worldwide.

Regularly combining native sounds including soca, chutney, calypso, Latin, reggae and dancehall, Millien has managed to capture and fuse the essence of Caribbean music into each of his productions. “Dheen Ta Na” is right on cue with this mission of bringing all the flavors of the Caribbean to the global audience.

Optimus Productions TT (@Optimusprott) Scores with “No Ebola”

Optimus Productions TT scores big with its latest release, the massively popular track “No Ebola” from Benjai and Screws, available worldwide from all major digital retailers on October 27, 2014, from FOX FUSE.

Tackling one of the biggest issues the world currently faces, “No Ebola” is a timely tune that has tongues wagging, across the Caribbean and beyond.

Lawmakers in Trinidad and Tobago have been recently debating whether they should cancel their annual carnival celebrations due to the Ebola outbreak, but Trinidadian soca artists Benjai and Screws fight back in typical calypsonian fashion, penning a tune in which they insist Ebola cannot stop soca and carnival revelers will be out there waving, jumping and wining with their gas masks, if need be. The catchy hook asks, “Who ready for the Ebola?” It then declares, “They can’t stop meh soca.”

The song has sparked mass attention on this terrible disease and while some regard it as controversial and making light of an important subject, the track has prompted valuable dialog on how the disease is spread and how to protect oneself from it, especially during a very public celebration such as the 2015 Trinidad Carnival.

The “No Ebola” audio-only video has racked up over 80,000 views collectively, since it debuted on YouTube just over a week ago, making it the most in-demand soca song currently. The thought-provoking, groovy soca track was produced by Jesse John of Optimus Productions TT, which is based in Palmiste, San Fernando in Trinidad and Tobago.

John keeps his fingers on the pulse of the people and popular music, and with releases such as “No Ebola,” continues to stay at the forefront of the soca genre, globally.

I Rise follows Etana's critically-acclaimed albums Better Tomorrow (2013), Free Expressions (2011) and The Strong One (2008). Better Tomorrow was hailed by BBC as her "most seamless album to date and finest piece of songwriting yet" and Associated Press called it "mature and confident sound with top-notch lyrical content and unique vocals."

Free Expressions won praise from NPR for being "a rarity: music that sermonizes, yet still sweetly serenades," while Essence raved that her debut The Strong One exuded "poetic consciousness amid soul-stirring grooves rivals that of gifted neo-soulsters." Etana's I Rise is poised for equal success and will inspire, liberate and uplift a new generation.
