Timberlee Sizzles in Eastern Caribbean

Dancehall artiste Timberlee recently completed a sizzling run in the Eastern Caribbean. Fans there have been warming up to her performances as well as to her music, a fitting start to an expected hectic summer.

She began in late April, with performances in Antigua and Dominica. On May 21 she cemented her reputation as a competent and energetic performer with her Barbados fan base, after giving a commendable performance at the Party Stand venue sharing stage with Hip Hop star Rick Ross, along with other dancehall mavericks billed for the event. On May 28, she was in neighbouring Trinidad, where she did a special performance on the Treasure Queen boat in Port of Spain. Wednesday June 2 saw her at the Sting Night Club, in Gulf View, La Romain for a memorable performance on her birthday. Timberlee's welcomed presence in the eastern Caribbean is no accident, as her tunes are precious gems on the radio stations and in the nightclubs.

Her song General is making waves in Trinidad and the show on the weekend was testament to the inroads her music is making in the region. In July she heads to Boston in the United States, before returning to Nevis for another Caribbean performance.

Timberlee is one of Jamaica's most talented female artistes. She is rapidly developing a solid reputation as a versatile artiste, for her commanding voice, and for chart-topping tunes such as Bubble Like Soup, Heels, Fashionista, and General.

Bugle Returns From A Blazing European Tour

Reggae's rising star Bugle is blazing an admirable musical trail this summer, spreading his influence and living up to his favourite musical tagline of "covering the world."

The artist has just completed his first official European tour, a two week trek across five countries as he introduced his music to new and diverse audiences. And even as he widened his fan base during this period, his local fans still heard his popular hits such as Pearly Gates and Don't Blame Life as they permeated the airwaves and even now still hold steady positions on the charts.

For the last two weeks in May, Bugle performed at 14 shows across Germany, Italy, Austria, England, and Switzerland. Although he had been to Italy before, this tour reinforced in his mind the captivating power and influence of Reggae. "It was a good experience. I learnt a lot, cause no matter how long you doing this, the more you work the more you gather and learn things," he stated. "Europe made me realize that the type of music I'm doing is real music…it's another assurance, makes me feel more comfortable in the work, makes me know that what I'm doing is the right thing."

Bugle has been noted for more socially conscious lyrics with catchy hooks, backed up with bouncy and melodic tracks. He admits that these lyrics were a big hit among the Europeans. "The reaction was crazy, they love it. The type of songs I do makes me aware that the world is out there, it's just up to us to do the right thing and explore the world." Bugle also announced that already he is in talks for a return tour, and based on his performances, he has been presented with a proposal from a production company in Europe for two albums.

He is analyzing the business aspect of this potential deal, but in the meantime, he is inside Jamaican studios recording on tracks from the Daseca production team, as well as other producers who prepared them while he was away. Bugle is one of Jamaica's most popular modern artistes. He was in the musical background for years, but has now become a hit-maker with inspiring lyrics and practical messages in his songs. He's known for tunes such as What I'm Gonna Do? (Exercise Everyday), Journeys, and Anything Goes.
