Tippa Irie & Far East Band - Stick to My Roots LP

Tippa Irie & Far East Band – Stick to my roots
LockDown Productions / Cargo Records GmbH
It’s not often an artist records their best work more than twenty-five years after making their debut, but that’s exactly what Tippa Irie’s done here. The Grammy nominated and UK’s most beloved Reggae / Dancehall entertainer’s latest album redefine the musical standards for the whole genre!

Tippa always did possess an uncanny instinct for hit songs and catchy hooks, except he’s now discovered an extra gear – one that reaches all the way back to his days on sound-system, whilst embracing a raft of fresh musical ideas and sizzling roots rhythms. His collaborators here are no others than probably the hottest urban band/ producer’s from Germany, the Far East Band, and the chemistry between them has resulted in a dizzying blend of styles, anchored by superb musicianship and production.

The Album is at once personal and universal, containing songs for “die hard” dancehall and reggae fans, as well as the crossover market.

It’s thrilling to hear Tippa Irie & Far East Band to push back the boundaries and explore new possibilities, but that still won’t prepare you for this exceptional musical journey!

Also the packaging of the album is pure eye-candy! The high glossy Digipack with it’s amazing comic style design will be, without a doubt, one of the most sought after releases this summer.
