A Call for Performing Artists 2010, GreenFest Afrika Music& Arts Festival


For Caribbean based artists willing to participate in the GreenFest Music& Arts Festival, to send their applications by November 15th, 2010, the latest. We are looking for singers, no bands etc.

About performing at GreenFest

At its 1st Anniversary, GreenFest Afrika Music & Arts Festival is a green festival positioned as one of Africa’s premier festivals for international and home-grown artistic talent.

This 3-day innovative green culture and technology-themed festival will reflect the hip and environmentally-conscious music community by fusing original live music.

GreenFest is where thousands of people who care for the environment will unite to enjoy high quality music, art and discover new ways to go \"green.\" GreenFest hosts the first Eco-Village in the region bringing together clean energy producers and utilizes volunteers and promotes sustainable volunteerism. The 3-day festival will be held from 31st Dec to 2nd January 2011.

In addition to stimulating Artistic growth, GreenFest also works towards battling effects of climate change and availing adaptation solutions. The Festival is a program under the ‘Voices for our Planet’ by Beryll Foundation (www.beryllfoundation.org).

Artists who wish to participate at GreenFest are requested to apply with the understanding that they will actively participate in promoting awareness of our planet safety. The festival will feature over 30 live performances.

How to apply to perform at GreenFest 2011
Your application can only be considered if we have received it from you by the DEADLINE. Your application must include the following:
1. A short biography (max 50 words)
2. One or two recent recordings online.
3. One or two photographs (JPG) or Promotional material
4. Talent fee will be negotiated after selection.
All selected artists, bands and groups will be provided with stalls to market and display their music merchandise during the festival.
