CP Inc Launches Swag Team

Dancehall music’s creative duo Wayne Rose and Shawn Reynolds, who form the group Creative People Incorporation (CP Inc), have announced the winter season as ‘Swaggerfic’, and also said that they’re happy with the progression of their career.

The two, known for the comedic song Big Foot, are very optimistic as they look forward to a terrific Christmas season, as their trademark ‘swag’ style continues to get increased public attention. Since lately, several local artistes have been embracing the said theme. But the duo, who believes that they’re the originators, plans to make full use of the hype by launching the official Swag Team.

“Swag team consists of CP Inc, New Kidz, Singer J and Vybrant. We’re all longtime friends who link up at Flava Squad Studio everyday because that’s where we work and it’s our headquarters. When we are at the studio or anywhere at all wi always neatly attired and look very clean because wi have to have up di swag,” said Rose, he also noted that the ‘Swag team’ has its own official dancers in Helmet Head and Doctor Bird.

Although several other artistes have taken credit for being inventors of ‘Swag movement’, the duo is adamant that they are the original inventors, and have even penned a song which was to be released in early April.

“Yu know seh a wi start dis thing… wi a seh a swag from bout April and wi also have a song for it, but tru di State of Emergency in May everything just get setback,” he said.

However, Rose said that the group is pleased to know that so many people are latching unto their style and that they believe the upcoming winter holidays will be one of their most memorable seasons in music.

“Wi already have a song fi di Christmas, which wi call Swag Christmas and we will be performing on a lot of events during the Christmas season. Why yu think people call wi di swag team? Because a wi start it up but wi nuh have nuh problem wid other people a endorse it,” he said.

CP Inc recently returned to Jamaica from the US where they did a one month promotional tour which saw them performing on a number of events in the Tri-state area and Philadelphia. They will be heading back to Philadelphia this weekend for an event at the Rhythms Nightclub; this show will feature all the members of the Swag Team.

International Superstars Sean Paul and Bob Sinclar Unleash Tik Tok

Jamaican dancehall superstar Sean Paul has partnered with world-renowned DJ Bob Sinclar for Tik Tok, an infectious dance-ragga track that will serve as the first single from Sinclar’s new album, set for release in the spring. The addictive up-tempo anthem features a sample from the 2Unlimited hit No Limit and will begin impacting the European market on November 2.

Sean Paul, who has sold over 10 Million albums worldwide since bursting onto the scene in 2000 with Stage One, continues his flawless track record with his contribution to Tik Tok. Guaranteed to burn up dance floors and clubs across the globe, the track was recorded in Jamaica for Sinclar’s side project Made In Jamaica, but after noticing the strength and universal appeal of the anthem, the DJ opted to use Tik Tok as the lead single from his new album.

Although both Sean Paul and Bob Sinclar have been dance floor legends for years, this is their first collaboration and the energy is undeniable. Dutty Paul returns to form, lacing the sonic beat with a hard-hitting flow reminiscent of his smash hits Gimme The Light and Get Busy.

Similarly, Bob Sinclar matches Sean’s energy with a powerful and pulsating beat guaranteed to keep audiences dancing. Sean Paul plays off the beat, as if each is performing to outshine the other and competing to keep you on the floor. The result is dancehall poetry, with a track that is sure to dominate the airwaves and the clubs through 2010 and beyond.

“It was crazy to finally get in the studio with Bob Sinclar,” said Sean Paul. “We both bring that passionate fire and energy to our music so I knew that when we finally came together we would create something special. Tik Tok is a perfect dance record and allowed us both to have fun and keep our fans on their feet.”

The track marks the beginning of Sean’s return to pop dominance as he readies the follow up to 2009’s Imperial Blaze. After spending the summer and fall touring the globe, entertaining audiences from New York to Zimbabwe, Sean Paul is back in the studio preparing his highly anticipated new album. Tik Tok serves as a lyrical appetizer for his loyal legions of fans as they prepare for the next in a wave of classic albums that also includes the multi-platinum, Grammy-winning classic Dutty Rock and the platinum smash The Trinity.

With an undeniable track record for crafting hit singles as a solo artist, including cuts like Deport Them, Like Glue, We Be Burnin and Temperature, as well as a history of taking other artists songs to the next level through tracks like Beyonce’s Baby Boy, Jay Sean’s Do You Remember and Eve’s Give It Up To You, Sean Paul has established himself as one of the seminal pop voices of his generation. Tik Tok continues that trend and partners him with a worthy adversary in DJ Bob Sinclar. Look for the record on a radio station and at a club near you.
