Assassin Most Wanted , March 29, 2011

Assassin established himself among dancehall's first generation of crossover deejays (Sean Paul, Elephant Man, Mr. Vegas) with witty lyrics and original subject matter that made his tracks stand out among the pack.

He has had top entries on some of the biggest riddims of the past ten years, scoring tremendous mix show radio airplay and a solid reputation as a live performer.

This collection spans his ten years of recordings and celebrates the deejay with 12 of his best tracks and Most Wanted hits. Featured tracks include "Ruffest And Toughest" on the Diwali riddim, and recent hits "Hand Inna Di Air" and "Pre Dis."

Denyque Excited About EME Nomination

Songbird Denyque, who exploded on the entertainment scene last year, celebrated her birthday last week with a lead in the online voting for the category of Best New Artiste (Female) in the Excellence in Music and Entertainment (EME) award.

With high riding hit songs like Summer Love, Hooked On Me, Not What I'm Used To and Juggling Hearts, it is no wonder that Denyque, dubbed Jamaica's 'supergirl', has been nominated for the honour. It's great news for the singer, who was more than elated to hear of the nomination

"It feels great to be listed as a nominee for my craft, especially at the EME Awards. It's very exciting! I mean, last year I was there only as a guest and this year I will be there as a nominee. Hopefully, next year I will be nominated in another category, and the year after that, and the year after that" she smiled.

2010 was indeed a busy year for her, with local performances, US tours as well as a ground-breaking performance opening the Brooklyn Fashion Week, Denyque connected with fans locally and overseas and is grateful for the love and support that she has received on her trek so far in the entertainment industry.

"The support has been tremendous, I really couldn't ask for more," Denyque remarked, continuing that "music is my passion and just the thought of being considered for an award for something that I love and enjoy doing, words cannot express my gratitude. If I do win, the award won't be mine – it will belong to my great support system, team, and the fans who have helped me to really be a 'new artiste'."

Even as Denyque is looking forward to the March 12 EME Awards, fans and music lovers can expect much more soothing, soulful Rhythm and Blues/Reggae love songs from the young songstress.

She has a slew of new music readying for release, including a duet with Ding Dong on the Washroom Entertainment label. She has also been busy working with producers like Live Up Records, Daseca, Bambino and Seanizzle.

"2010 was great but 2011 is all about showing Jamaica what else I have to offer. It is about cementing myself as a mainstay in the industry," Denyque said.
