Shocking Murray Promotes New Album On European Tour‏

After completing a successful second album titled ‘Troddin’ On’ and a music video for his newest single Johnny, reggae artiste Shocking Murray said that he’s confident the public will show ample interest in them, as he continues to bid for that elusive ‘big break’ in the local music industry.

The deejay, who has already established himself as a recognized act on the European reggae circuit, has found it somewhat difficult to replicate that success in his homeland even though his first recorded single Drum, was released in 1990 at Black Scorpio studio in Kingston.

However, the Portland-native said he’s is beaming with confidence that this will be the year his career will take off to higher heights in his native homeland. “Nowadays I am more confident but I am not going to be easily satisfied, because the sky is the limit,” he said.

The multi-talented musician is currently on tour in Europe, where he’s promoting new album. Shocking Murray said that he’s very optimistic about the album’s success and that the listening public can expect a slew of positive songs coming from it.

“The album was released a week ago, so I guess it needs a few more weeks to see what improvement it will bring (to my career). This is my second album, the first one was released in 2006, but the public can expect nothing but a positive vibe from it,” he said.

On his current tour, he added: “Going on tour is always impressive, that’s how I get to expose my music to all different kind of people. To see so much different people, from all different races, come out and show you this love for your music is really an amazing feeling. I just wanna to continue producing quality music for my fans.”

Shocking Murray said he’s also working on some new materials which is set to be released later this year.
