Many may remember Garnett Silk’s smooth voice and powerful lyrical content that captivated us in the early nineties and left us wanting more. His untimely death left a gap in the industry that no other artist has been able to fill, until now. Meet Humanuwah.

Born Prince-Emmanuel Alexander Smith, producer, singer and songwriter “Humanuwah”, found his place in the field of music through the journey to realize the true self (the spiritual self). Having a very strong desire to promote the message in his music and not himself, he has managed to shy away from the public for years.

He defines his music as a reflection of the soul’s journey to the inner higher states of consciousness, and says his purpose and aim musically is to be a channel of spiritual awakening, enlightenment and inspiration to the world.

Hapilos Pulls Out Of Weekly Parties, Readies For Concerts

Peter Simms, General Manager of Hapilos Entertainment, has announced the end of all the company's local parties. The New York-based entertainment company which is known for their flagship parties, Happy Thursdayz and Portmore Fridayz, says they will be doing a lateral move into high quality concert productions instead.

As proof of this, they recently staged the much-talked-about Lakefest concert in Colchester, Connecticut, USA which featured a stellar reggae lineup including: Beres Hammond, Wayne Wonder, Etana and others.

"When we initially commenced operations in Jamaica, it was with the understanding that we were new here and were focusing on getting our name out there to the different target markets. The most effective way to create a buzz was through weekly parties with some of the island's top brands including Guinness, and this worked seamlessly.

We thank Guinness wholeheartedly for being a part of our events since the beginning, and we hope to re-introduce our partnership via different projects in the near future. We are now going to move on to delivering classic concert productions our Jamaican audience and those across the world," says Simms.

The series of concerts being produced by Hapilos Entertainment across the United States and the Caribbean include: collaborating with PaperWorks Entertainment to bring fans in Los Angeles, California an impressive concert on November 4, featuring Mavado, Flexxx and the Gully Squad alongside DJ Khaled and We The Best Music Group. Thereafter, Hapilos and DNZ Productions will present Beach Sexy - Diva’s Revenge in Jamaica on December 3rd, and soon after, an annual concert in Jamaica, "which will feature a host of local and international superstars, which we hope will blow the socks off people," says Simms.

There are also concerts being planned for Belize and St Vincent and to further extend the Hapilos brand to include Hapilos Junior and HapilosTeens for the younger audience.

Also, the Digital Distribution arm of the company, 21st.Hapilos, has been doing well and "we will continue to seek out new and effective ways to help bring reggae and dancehall music to the world, while making it economically beneficial for those in the industry," concluded Johnny Wonder, executive vice president of 21st/Hapilos.
