Delly Ranx Video for The Next Chapter Near Complete!

Despite minor scheduling setbacks caused by Hurricane Sandy, Dancehall DJ and veteran entertainer Delly Ranx was in Jamaica this past week shooting his music video for his Top 10 song The Next Chapter.

The lead song from his album of the same name, tops charts in North America, Europe and his home of Jamaica, prompting the artist to add a visual element to compliment what fans hear on the radio.

Teaming with veteran music video producer Terminal 4 Media, scenes for the video were shot at various locations throughout Kingston, and concluded with a full day of indoor shooting in front of a green screen. As if speaking to fans directly, Delly sat on a couch while reasoning with the camera, which acts as the eyes and ears of his fans. In some scenes, the artist reasons in relaxed casual attire, in other scenes, a little more formal.

“The video is more like a story about the next chapter of my life,” said Delly while on break from shooting. “People will relate to it because as the lyrics say ‘different meditation for a different stage’ which is an experience we all have. We all go through changes especially as we mature which is what the song is about.”

The self reflective song, which discusses changes in the artists personal and professional life, embraces a new path and direction. Transitioning from yesterday to today, Delly includes fans on the newest chapter of his journey. The song is an international success.

Conscious reggae star Richie Spice officially debuted his new album Soothing Sounds: Acoustic to media and fans in Kingston, Jamaica, on October 30, 2012, a week after the launch was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy. The 15-track acoustic opus of socially-conscious roots anthems bowed worldwide on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from Tad's Record.

"We had high expectations for the launch and we superseded them," states Tad Dawkins, President of Tad's Record. "Soothing Sounds: Acoustic was introduced with a bang and there are only greater things to come. The artist performed exceptional well and the crowd grooved and sang along with every song. This only proves once more that Richie Spice is a solid artist and Tad's Record is just proud to be affiliated with an artist of such great caliber."

The launch was hosted by Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records, Kingston's newest hot spot for intimate, live concerts, and saw Richie Spice backed by a four-piece band and flanked by three back-up singers. He performed several songs from the album in acoustic format, including "Free," "My Heart," and "Crying." Spice then segued into regular renditions of massive hits from his extensive catalog, much to the crowd's delight, as they sang along, word for word.

"I'm overjoyed by the support for my album," reveals Richie Spice. "I aimed to bring my locals fans a good taste of the acoustic album at the launch and it was well-received." The launch was attended by dancehall superstar Shaggy, famed cricketer Chris Gayle, and a slew of media that included Billboard Magazine, which will be covering the Richie Spice album and its Kingston launch in the upcoming week. "The Soothing Sounds: Acoustic launch was a wonderful opportunity to experience Richie Spice performing the best of his catalog in a small setting," says Billboard's journalist Patricia Meschino, one of the few mainstream journalists who continues to regularly journey to the Caribbean to and bring its music to the global audience.

"The acoustic interpretations of his well known hits such as 'Grooving My Girl' and 'Youth Dem Cold' gave those songs a renewed vitality and brought Richie's positive lyrics and spectacular vocals into sharper focus." Soothing Sounds: Acoustic is a masterpiece collection that is testament to the evolution of Richie Spice, showcasing an eclectic mix of musical elements that fuse classic reggae vibes with modern day acoustic rock, Spanish guitar, jazz and African drum beats.

The first single, an uplifting call for unity titled "Free,"remains in heavy rotation in Jamaica and across reggae specialty formats, worldwide. The video for "Free" debuted on television channels in Jamaica in September, and continues to garner traction for the growing classic. The second single "Crying" also remains in rotation across reggae radio, and its video was just released, adding steam to the sounds of Richie Spice across all airwaves.

Prezident Brown's New Album, I Sound Is From Creation

Tad's Record releases the highly-anticipated new album from Jamaican roots artist Prezident Brown with I Sound Is From Creation, available worldwide on November 13, 2012 . Born Fitz Cotterell in Clarendon, Jamaica, Prezident Brown embarked on a prolific musical journey that spans three decades and has transcended international borders, bringing his brand of socially-conscious messages to the global audience.

Hailed as one of the few remaining authentic roots entertainers, Prezident Brown is often compared to the late Dennis Brown and Jacob Miller of Inner Circle. This, his ninth full-length release, is no different, as he continues his mission to educate and entertain, through his music. "I am mentally, physically and spiritually prepared and looking forward to the album release," reveals Prezident Brown. "I know my existing fans will be fulfilled by it and I am ready to tour and introduce my special Fitz Cotterell-brand of reggae worldwide."

Boasting 14 tracks molded by Prezident Brown's signature chanting style, all solidly laced over classic one-drop reggae riddims, I Sound Is From Creation is a must-have album for reggae lovers. With the first single, "Be Careful (Rags To Riches)," Prezident Brown implores listeners to not get attached to material things or lose themselves, as they rise from "rags" to "riches."

The second single, "Teach The Youths Dem (Meditation)," addresses the destruction of the culture and encourages youths to be strong in the face of adversity. Other notable tracks include "Defender," where he delves into his Rastafarian faith and urges the public to not belief the negative propaganda that is spread about the religion, "Fi Wi Queen (Jamaica 50)," which pays tribute to Jamaica's 50th Independence celebrations, "Everything Is Everything," which explores the mysteries of creation, and "Rebel With A Cause," a unique combination of neo-soul and roots reggae that speaks to Prezident Brown's musical versatility.

Often hailed as "Towerman" due to his height of 6 feet, 3 inches, Prezident Brown sees himself as "towerful," with T.O.W.E.R for being an acronym for "Thinking-Overstanding-Working-Enlightening-Reasoning." There is even a small image at the bottom of the I Sound Is From Creation album poster, depicting the stance of the 'towerman.' Prezident Brown celebrates this new release with a European tour, which is currently underway (see tour dates below). "Leading up to the release, I will be in Paris," discloses Prezident Brown. "France will be my first stop, with veteran Studio One singer, Willie Williams.

I will also be introducing young artist Rivah Jordan, from the Tower Gang." Paris, France also sets the scene for the video for the album's first single, "Be Careful (Rags To Riches)," which is currently in production while Prezident Brown is there. He continues his world domination with a U.S. tour, which kicks off in January and will run through February of 2013. "Prezident Brown, as an artist, is one of those silent but deadly gems of reggae music," states Tad Dawkins, President of Tad's Record. "His songs are both entertaining as well as powerful in message.

There was no contemplating when the opportunity arose for Tad's Record to put out an album for Prezident Brown and Axx Of Jahpostles. I Sound Is From Creation will be available both physically and digitally on November 13, 2012 with worldwide distribution by Tad's Record.
