Hezron Delivers At Sting

Reggae singer extraordinaire Hezron continues to claw his way to the top of the musical ladder. The baritone voiced singer delivered a stirring performance at the recently held Sting Concert on Boxing Day night at Jam World in Portmore. During his eletrifying performance Hezron belted out a number of his popular tunes including Forever & Always, Can’t Come Between and So In Love, which were all well received.

But it was his unreleased single titled I Just Wanna Survive, which tells scathing tale of life in the ghettoes of Jamaica that earned him the biggest forward during his set. As Expected the soft spoken crooner is very pleased and appreciative of the response he received from the Sting crowd which is reputed to be one of the hardest crowds to please. “I feel very good, the people really gave me a positive response at Sting, it’s my first time on Sting and I am happy I passed the test. A lot of people say Sting is a show for Deejays and clashes but that didn’t worry me, I just went there to do my best and the people appreciated what I delivered, so I just have to give thanks and continue the works,” said Hezron.

Now that the year is drawing to a close Hezron is looking forward to even bigger and brighter things in 2013. One of the main things on the agenda for him is the release of his long awaited debut album titled The Life I Live(d) which will be released on his Hardsheild Productions label, through local distribution giants Tads International Records early next year. Hezron is currently promoting the music video for his latest hit singled titled Those Days. The video was released a little over a week ago and is already enjoying strong rotation both locally and abroad.

Macka Diamond Hides From Sting Showdown With @SpiceOfficial

The much anticipated clash between Spice and Macka Diamond at this year's Sting, failed to materialize last night after veteran artiste, Macka Diamond refused to clash, although present at the venue. Upon entering the Jamworld stage in St. Catherine, Spice quickly summoned Macka Diamond, however, after numerous calls the deejay failed to take the stage. Spice then called out "Farmer Joe" and a donkey, who she referred to as Macka's twin and went into singing Who Let Out The Donkey, her response to Macka Diamond's previous clash singles.

During the performance, Spice yet again called for Macka Diamond to take the stage, but she was not forthcoming. A younger deejay tried to make her way to the stage to take on the lyrical giant, but Spice was not having it and the young deejay was silenced and relegated to the side of the stage.

After remixing a Tommy Lee song as a Macka Diamond counteraction and again calling for Macka Diamond to enter the stage and stand with Farmer Joe and the donkey who was adorned in knee high red socks and an auburn wig, Spice ended her set. Regarding Macka Diamond, Spice who is known for Jim Screechie, Ramping Shop alongside Vybz Kartel, Fun featuring Missy Elliot and more, says, "This person was the one who went on TV and was in the media saying so many things and even did two or three songs, yet, when the real test came she was at the venue and didn't want to take the stage. I got tired of calling her out, so I called out her twin, which was the donkey and took it from there."

"I'm leaving Macka Diamond behind in 2012 where she belongs. She got the opportunity to try to lyrically compete with me on stage and didn't want to. That's not my problem. But she can definitely stop calling my name now because her insignificant sentence in the good chapter of my even greater book has ended. I can't wait for January to get here, I have so many musical surprises for fans; it's going to be crazy, so everyone just get ready because that whole clash phase is over," says Spice.
