To many, Kabaka Pyramid has emerged overnight. Known for his spit fiery lyrical ability and message with a cause, Kabaka Pyramid continues to captivate the masses on a global level. Most recently Kabaka Pyramid was selected to appear on the cover of Autumn issue of Jus Jah Magazine.

Jus Jah Magazine is the UK's first lifestyle magazine that is dedicated to Rastafarian livity, reggae music and the African/Caribbean communities.

The magazine aims to provide a complete insight into Rasta culture by covering articles and features on areas including history, reggae music, ital/vegan cooking, Rasta inspired fashion and much more.

Darshan Recordz (@WILD_LYPH) Raises The Room's Temperature With New Riddim

Darshan Recordz is ready to turn up heat with their recent juggling compilation project “Room Temperature”.

Based out of Atlanta, Georgia the budding label is surrounded with opportunities and contributes to the growth of the Dancehall market within North America.

“Room Temperature” riddim has a harder beat than most singles that have been trending this year, bringing forth a strong militant sound and heavy bass. Munga, Navino and Kdon went in similar directions choosing to voice “war chunes”.  

Artists Laden, Deva Bratt, Kenny Bling and Don Pree/Castro chose to focus on the ladies, voicing “gyal chunes” and party hits. Canada’s own Pop-Dancehall Diva, Tiffie, brings forward an Independent Ladies Anthem with her song off the riddim titled “Miss Independent”. 

The Atlanta based label teamed up with Zojak Worldwide for distribution as well as Reeva Ann Proctor of Empowerment Media Group who will be taking care of the compilations publicity campaign. Currently Darshan Recordz is working on other projects. He has a few compilations in the works featuring, again, artists as heard on Room Temperature as well as singles with Mavado including one featuring Chronixx.

Ranch Entertainment Enters Another Milestone

As the home of industry veterans, Ranch Entertainment is a well respected production company and home of diamond selling, Grammy award winning artist Shaggy. Therefore, it is no surprise that they would be bombarded with inquiries and request to assist with distribution and "getting the music out there".

After much discussion, they listened to what the music fraternity was requesting in terms of service, knowledge and inventory and this became the genesis of  Ranch Distribution.

With the success of Ranch Entertainment a lot of people have been asking for advice on how to release their music and how to maximize their potential sales.  

The inquiries span across a wide array of genres and industry professionals, which made it clear that something was missing. Ranch Entertainment decided to create a separate division, which would provide a place for producers, artists and labels to digitally sell their music with transparency through their platform. "In todays world of digital sales, up and coming talents may struggle with the fundamentals of releasing their own music and may lack the business knowledge of how to structure their digital releases.

In August Sentinel went to Jamaica to play a one week tour alongside their brother sound from the Carribean, Bass Odyssey, from way out in the country, Alexandria, St. Ann. The highlight for everlasting sound was the perfomance at the 25th Anniversary of Bass Odyssey.

The Germans shared the stage with the dinosaurs of the Soundsystem-Business - Bass Odyssey, Stone Love, Killamanjaro, Renaissance & Metromedia - plus a live performance of Cocoa Tea & Singing Melody. Sentinel just done the place and left the dance with an outstanding & impressive performance, playing hardcore dubplates by artists like Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton.

Nesbeth Ready to 'Taste the Victory' @DJNesbeth @DestineMedia

An emerging force who rose from one of the toughest garrisons in Jamaica known as Arnette Gardens, reggae artist Nesbeth is no stranger to success, touring or hit singles.

Born as Greg Nesbeth, music have always been his way to communicate and provide comfort in regards to the social injustice taking place at home.

Throughout is childhood music has always been a medium to express the rough times taking place at home. In 1993 Nesbeth recorded his first single "Reflection of Love" with singer Camera, which opened the doors to a host of musical opportunities and accomplishments. His catalog began to take form as his musical portfolio expanded as he worked with some of the industries most prominent producers and labels.

Among the music producers Nesbeth has worked with are Jack Scorpio, Shocking Vibe, Down Sound Records and Flava McGregor. It was while recording witha McGregor that Nesbeth would receive some of his biggest hits to date, such as "Board House", "Guns Out", "Friends for Sale" and "Drive By". It was at this stage in his career that Nesbeth became a voice for the people whose cries fell on deaf ears. His songs were offering hope to people who had no certainty of what tomorrow would bring. But for Nesbeth his voice and messages in his music are just a piece of what makes him such an exceptional artist, his energetic live shows captivates crowds worldwide.
