Where in the World is Third World Band Now?
From New Mexico to Monterey to Seattle, the 10 time grammy nominated Third World Band continues to thrill audiences with hit songs such as "96 Degrees," "Try Jah Love," "Sense of Purpose," "Committed," and more. After 37 years of smash hits, sold-out tours and inspirational messages, the group is still excited about performing and recording music.
Fresh from their european tour, the group performed on the west coast last weekend. Shows included Hanu Reggae Festival in New Mexico and Monterey Bay Reggae Festival California. This weekend, the reggae ambassadors will perform at the Nectar Lounge in Seattle, the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver and Reggae Rising in California.
In addition to touring, the band is gearing up for the release of their album, Patriots, which will be released on AUGUST 10, 2010. The album, which features Toots, Marcia Griffiths, Tessanne Chin, Damian Marley, Stephen Marley and Dean Frasier, among others, will be available for purchase on www.thirdworlddigistore.com. The album includes recently released singles "Spirit Lives," a dedication to the people of Haiti and "By My Side," featuring Tessanne Chin.
