Westside Konnection Records recording artiste Timmi Burrell is very upbeat as he awaits the release of his debut EP titled Ever Clean (Mr. Swagger), which will be released before the end of the year. The Negril based singer kept him self busy earlier in the year by performing on a number of events. But eventually decided to take time off from performing to concentrate on the recording side of his career and he is very happy with the results.
“In the earlier part of the year I was doing a lot of shows but after a while I told my manager that I needed to spend more time in the studio, because I felt the need to improve myself as a recording artiste. I know I am a good singer and song-writer and a good stage-performer, but it takes a lot more than that to make it in the biz. You have to have the full package and that includes having the ability to record hit music”, said the artiste.
Timmi believes that the decision to spend more time in the studio has helped to truly define his sound as an artiste as he continues to create a niche for himself in the music business. He also stated that his eight track EP will feature some of his best works to date, as he and his production team which includes his manager Ralston Barrett and Nackia Garwood aka DJ Chubby spent a lot of time in the studio working on the project.
“My production team and I spend a lot of time working on Ever Clean, because we want it to be special. We want to give all the Timmi Burrell fans and potential fans something special and every song on this EP is a potential hit. These songs will to introduce the new Timmi Burrell sound and flavor to world.”
The first single from the EP, titled Make Doh is currently receiving good support from several popular radio deejays including IRIE FM’s DJ Amber and Big A, and HITZ 92 FM’s Rodrick Howell, Garfield Hamilton and Troy McLean.
