Biggaton’s Rise In Music

Kevin Roye, aka Biggaton, has always been attracted to music. While attending Holmwood Technical High School, he was suspended for excessive deejaying, which would normally discourage a young man at that age. He stayed true to his calling though and eventually worked with the Traffic Jam band, producing his first song called ‘Equal Living.’ He also performed on a few stage shows, including some anti-drug concerts at schools. Such were the beginnings for the Mandeville-raised artiste.

Since then, he has become a familiar performing face, appearing on most major stage shows in the past few years. In 1996, a big year for him, he performed on Rebel Salute, Garnett Silk’s Birthday Bash and Luciano’s Birthday Bash. That year he also toured the Cayman Islands.

In 1999, Biggaton performed in England on Capleton’s More Fire Tour. In 2003, he performed on St. Mary Mi Come From, Everton Blender’s Birthday Bash and G.T. Taylor’s Christmas Reggae Extravaganza.

Biggaton who is currently promoting his latest single called ‘Di Money Gone’, also performed on G.T. Taylor’s Christmas Reggae Extravaganza last year, alongside his Imhotep C Records stable mate, Warrior King.

Biggaton will head to Europe next month for a one month tour alongside Warrior King and Turbulence.
