As we celebrate Reggae/Black History Month, and the lives of two of our great musical Icons, Bob Marley and Dennis Brown, the One Love Reggae Concert Winter Series continues to grow. Last week’s concert inside the Negril Escape venue featured another musical icon, Toots Hibbert of Toots and the Maytals fame.
The patrons who came out in their numbers for that event experienced a very wonderful performance from Toots which lasted over two hours. Also doing well on the same show was US reggae group Government Mule.
This Tuesday’s show will be headlined by popular reggae star Richie Spice, who is a favorite on the weekly concert series. His last appearance on the series in November of last year is still fresh in the memories of patrons who were in attendance at that event.
Richie Spice with his growing catalogue of hits which includes songs such as ‘World Is A Cycle’, ‘Grooving My Girl’, ‘Earth A Run Red’ and his latest hit ‘Black Woman’, never fails to deliver a pleasing performance and his fans out west will no doubt expect to experience another great performance from him.
Also on the bill for this week’s show is fast rising reggae songstress Cen’C Love who is currently getting lots of attention with her latest single ‘Casanova’. Cen’C Love who is the daughter of Reggae Icon Bunny Wailer will be performing in Negril for the very first time and will definitely want to put in a very good performance, before she launches her debut album the next day in Kingston.
