Kingston Jamaica March 4, 2011:- Ace ZJ Zip Jock Chrome will be heading to St Elizabeth this Sunday March 6 for the next staging of the hit series Rum-Bar River Sundays. The event which is organised by Nuwave Entertainment and Danger Zone Music Group will return to Grossman River in Brea's River with a new sponsor, new themes and fresh entertainment for 2011.
River Sundays which started in April of 2010 has for the last year provided quality entertainment to the masses of the west and is now a staple on the St Elizabeth entertainment calendar. The show which was the first of its kind in that area has blazed a trail which has seen several events of a similar kind crop up in various areas of the west over the past year.
Initially dubbed Heineken River Sundays, at the start of the year the organizers decided to go on a one month hiatus to revamp the event and have now returned with a new headline sponsor in the form of Rum-Bar Rum.
Ronny ‘Frassman’ White of Nuwave Entertainment says he believes Rum-Bar Rum is the perfect fit for River Sundays: “Rum-Bar Rum has been involved in the event in some way for the past year and we are happy they decided to come on board as title sponsor.
The brand has the same vision as we do of bringing quality entertainment to the area while at the same time providing some well needed economic boost to the community of Braes River.”
Rum-Bar River Sundays is to be held at Grossman River River in Braes River this Sunday and will feature ZJ Chrome as the main attraction. ZJ Chrome is one of Jamaica’s most prolific selectors and producers and is noted as a DJ on Zip 103 FM and also the producer at the helm of CR203 Productions which is credited with riddims such as Dancehall EFX, Cardiac Bass and the massive Mad Collab riddim.
He is widely is known for its massive hit Clarks by Vybz Kartel. Also featured this Sunday will be sound systems Danger zone, Red Heat and Black Love with hosting duties falling to Danger Zone’s own Fire Lice.
Delmar Drummond who is head of Danger Zone Music Group says he expects this Sunday’s event to be one to remember: “Rum-Bar Rivers Sundays has become the top event in St Elizabeth. The vibe is always right in a clean and safe environment. The event begins at 2pm and patrons can expect fun and games until 7pm when the stage will be set alight with some wicked music from all genres by none other than ZJ Chrome.
At Rum-Bar River Sundays every first Sunday is a holiday. The Drink is Rum-Bar Rum so patrons are advised to drink responsibly.
ABOUT RUM-BAR RUM
Rum-Bar Rum which has been making a name for itself in the Jamaican spirits market of late is made by Worthy Park Estate Ltd. which is located in the parish of St. Catherine.
Worthy Park has produced rum from as far back as 1741. It ceased making rum in the 1960’s but in 2004, the current owners of Worthy Park decided to build a state-of-the-art Rum Distillery. In 2007 Worthy Park’s Rum-Bar White Overproof Rum was introduced into the Jamaican market.
