Fast rising dancehall artiste Nadera has a lot to be thankful for as her career continues to blossom. The Canadian based deejay who copped the female Deejay of the Year award earlier this year at the Canadian Reggae Music Achievers Awards, recently scored her first top ten hit outside of Canada with her controversial single, Cheaters Loss.
The song which also features top flight Canadian based reggae singer Tony Anthony peaked at number 3 on the New York Top 30 Reggae Singles Chart. After a total of 15 weeks Cheaters Loss is currently number 8 on the chart. Cheaters Loss has also made its mark locally; its accompanying music video recently entered the popular HYPE TV VTX Top Ten Countdown at number 9.
In a release to the media Nadera who originally hails from Kingston expressed her joy about her recent success. “I feel extremely joyful at this moment in time for all the wonderful things that have been happening with my career. The music biz is very rough especially for women and I am thankful that I am striving in it.
Nader is currently busy in the studios working with several big name reggae and dancehall producers as she continues towards the completion of her debut album. She is also getting ready to drop a brand new single titled Bounce Like A Ball which was produced by Kevon Dixon of Blue Sky Productions.
