East coast based reggae artist Mighty Mystic announced today that he will release his highly anticipated music video & single, entitled “Original Love,” worldwide on Tuesday September 6, 2011. “Original Love” is the latest single from Mighty Mystic, since the release of his debut, full-length album “Wake Up the World,” on November 24, 2010. Considered one of the leaders in the East Coast reggae movement, Mighty Mystic’s album “Wake Up the World” peaked at #4 on the iTunes Reggae Charts, and features 17 brand new, original tracks mixed with fan favorites.
Mighty Mystic shares, “The single ‘Original Love’ is basically about taking a journey in search of the true meaning of love, which in this sense is something unconventional. Love is something that each person can feel but can’t really explain in words.
Part of the song showcases that the people of the world can be corrupt and selfish and that even love has lost its way; that it’s really up to us as human beings to make our own crusade to find love again. I think this song has a wonderful message about love, and I truly hope that the audience will feel inspired by it and are able to take something from it – even if it’s as simple as remembering to say ‘hi’ and ‘bye’ to your neighbors.”
While working on new music, Mighty Mystic will continue to tour and perform nationwide as he records his sophomore, full-length album – anticipated to be released in late 2012. Mighty Mystic has shared the stage with some of the top reggae acts in the United States and Internationally as well, including: Reggae legend Toots & The Maytals, SOJA, Luciano, Steel Pulse, Damien Marley, Barrington Levy, Buju Banton, Shaggy, Collie Buddz, Sean Paul, Dirty Heads, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, John Brown’s Body, to name a few.
“Original Love” will be available for purchase wherever digital downloads are sold and is distributed through BFM Media.
