The sweet sounds of Wayne Wonder will resonate throughout the summer season once again. The iconic singer releases his sizzling video "Caught Up" from Miami-based director Antwan Smith (Rick Ross, Trina, Maino, Cam'ron, Yo Gotti and Plies). This pop-fueled reggae anthem off Love Bug riddim is the first single from Wayne Wonder's long-awaited album 'My Way,' set for release in late August on Singso Music. More details on album to be announced shortly.
Since his self-titled debut album in 1987, Jamaica-born singer Wayne Wonder (real name Von Wayne Charles) has been responsible for an extraordinary catalog of reggae hits including "Saddest Day," "Bonafide Love (Movie Star)" ft. Buju Banton, "No Letting Go," "Love and Affection" and many more. He hit the national spotlight in 2003 when his album 'No Holding Back' and its hit single, “No Letting Go,” dominated urban radio in America and peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
His success led him to national TV appearances, including a performance on Saturday Night Live. His later albums moved further toward hip-hop, which led to collaborations with numerous artists including Foxy Brown, Trina, TLC’s Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and CNN: Capone & N.O.R.E on the hit track "Anything Goes" for the Grammy-nominated Def Jamaica compilation. His last album, 2007’s 'Foreva,' debuted at No. 6 on the U.S. Billboard Top Reggae Albums chart. 'My Way' will be his first album in six years released solely on Wayne Wonder's label Singso Music.
