Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Sabrina Diva began making moves towards a singing career from age six and began songwriting and performing on stage at 10. Sabrina Diva later met with Kase White, an upcoming producer and started working with him, providing her with her first Internet release, Jokes On You.
In September 2011, she relocated to Jamaica to focus on her music and develop her musical career. Sabrina Diva later met with Bunny Brown of 'Chosen Few', Rorey Baker of One Pop Studios and Sly Dunbar of Taxi Records and started working with them. Their immediate chemistry provided Sabrina Diva with her first song on the radio within weeks of her arrival to Jamaica.
War Downtown, released off the Taxi Label, is written and sung over the famously known 54/46 rhythm by Toots and The Maytals.
With an aim to revamp the rhythm, the young singer collaborated with the world-renown rhythm twins Sly and Robbie and Rorey Baker to create this vibrant hit, adding it to their 2012 album, Throw Back.
This month sees the young singer-songwriter gaining more recognition, with her break-through single War Downtown grabbing the attention of a vast audience.
Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden and Italy (to name a few) have embraced the singer and her track, War Downtown, has become fairly popular there.
With her music now being heard more frequently on Jamaican airwaves, she is expanding her new hometown fan base.
The 23-year-old singer is a passionate and soulful vocalist and a diva on the stage, from where she acquired her stage name.
