Hot 97 FM, NYC's premiere hip hop station, announced the full line-up for their annual Summer Jam concert last week, and Bunji Garlin will make history as the first Trinidadian Soca artist to perform at the festival.
He is confirmed for the main stadium stage along with 50 Cent, Nas, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne & Young Money, Wiz Khalifa, YG, Ty Dolla $ign, DJ Mustard, The Roots, Trey Songz, Sevyn Streeter, Kid Ink, Action Bronson, Troy Ave and more. Summer Jam will be held this year on Sun. June 1 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

In addition to this news, A$AP Ferg, the NYC-based rapper with Trinidadian roots, released his new song "Petit Valley" rocking over the Carnival Tabanca riddim, which is also Garlin's title track to his new EP.
On Ferg's blog, he writes "shout out to all my Trini fam #petitvalley & @bunjigarlin for giving me the honors of blessing the world with the Fergie Flow over 'Carnival Tabanca' which is my favorite song right now." There are also plans to release new material between the two artists at a later date.
