Wasp Releases New Video For Two Singles

Fresh from his Canadian stint, Dancehall singjay Wasp has shot and released a new video for his current chart bubblers ‘They Say’ and ‘Nothing Nah Gwaan’ the latter featuring DASECA’s first lady Raine Seville.

‘They Say’ produced by Park To Park Music was inspired by some recent turn of events experienced by the deejay and Wasp being a creative genius decided to put a positive spin on it, hence the song.

The video which exudes a very natural feel minus all the flashing lights, over the top wardrobe and make-up was directed by Janelle Dyer with editing credits going to Willo. Shot throughout the thoroughfares of the Kingston and St. Andrew Metropolis, the medley video sees cameos from D’Angel, I-Octane, G-Whizz and Zip FM’s ZJ Liquid. Since premiering on local television a few days ago the response has been tremendous and an intense promotional campaign is expected to follow.

Meanwhile, Wasp has been added to the Digicel ‘Juss Buss’ Tour as the closing act alongside D’Angel and the very comical Tanto Blacks. He was also a part of the recently concluded Reggae Sumfest showcase - International Night One, delivering a very energized performance on the Red Stripe stage.

Aside from promoting his new singles his first international chart topper ‘Cry Fi Dem’ is now available as part of the Reggae Gold 2010 compilation on the VP Records label.

Wasp is booked to appear on a number of events over the busy summer holidays.
