PZed is Now Andrew Mystic

Getting a break in the music business is no easy task regardless of your geographical location. To be a successful artiste requires more than just having talent. Any artiste who wants to make in the rough world of entertainment has to have the right image, a good management team and probably the most important of all where the marketing aspect of his or her career is concerned a good stage name.

Over the last few years several artistes on the local scene have changed their names in order to achieve commercial success; most notable is Macka Diamond who after shaking the Lady Mackerel moniker earlier this decade became a top dancehall act. Even popular dancehall act Assassin recently changed his moniker to Agent Sasco in order to broaden his commercial appeal.

Fast rising reggae artiste PZed who is known for underground hits such as Cassava and Farm Town has now decided to join the list of artistes who has changed their names. The former teacher said that he and his management team realized the need for a more marketable name even though he is known in musical circles as PZed.

Hence his decision to take on the new moniker Andrew Mystic, “From now on my new stage name is Andrew Mystic, I believe this name will help to push my career even further,” said the artiste who is the younger brother of reggae artiste Little Hero.

Andrew Mystic whose real name is Andrew Gayle is currently enjoying strong rotation on FM radio both locally and abroad with singles such as Food, These Trees and Nah Give Away Mi Bredda. He is also busy in the studios working on the completion of his debut album which is tentatively titled Out Here.
