Cherine's "Shine On jamaica" featured on Grammy Album


Cherine delivers a powerful performance in "Shine On Jamaica" video

KINGSTON, Jamaica (Dec 6, 2010) - "Shine on Jamaica" by Cherine, Jamaica's Anthem for the Times , is featured on the 2011 Grammy nominated album One Pop Reggae. The track produced by reggae icons Sly & Robbie and David Norland has been widely acclaimed as one of the most prolific and relevant songs in recent reggae history.

"Shine on Jamaica" was originally featured as one of the leading tracks from Cherine' s EP The Introduction Dubstyle. The song, written and performed by Cherine was a hit which spent an impressive four weeks in the number one spot on both the New York and South Florida reggae charts and hit many top ten charts in Europe.

The creatively brilliant video for "Shine on Jamaica", which also features an appearance by Sly Dunbar with his magical drum sticks, was directed by Cherine.
