Skinny Fabulous to Release Music Video

Miami Carnival weekend in October was fully charged as several soca fans got the opportunity to participate in Skinny Fabulous’ upcoming music video for the mega hit “Charge Up/Duracell Plus.” The video which features the collaboration with the King of Soca, Machel Montano looks set to take the power levels up just another notch.

Directed by Miami based VJ Elite of Elite Media Concepts (EMC), the video captures the distinctively high energy performances from the three time Soca Monarch winner of St. Vincent & the Grenadines together with several cameos from the likes of Super Jigga TC, DJ Barrie Hype, Problem Child, Iwer George, JW Blaze and Rudy.

Sharing his thoughts on this latest video, Skinny Fabulous says, “the video aims to capture the unscripted aspects of performing live in Miami and Carnival in general. However there is a simple theme or storyline behind it all. Machel plays a mad scientist that conjures up various formulas to create a substance that is used to power him up. In the middle of our lab scene, a pink bunny very arbitrarily walks into the scene at which point he is warned by Machel that "he has no idea what he's up against".

The video then leads into several performance shots and club scenes at various top spots during the Miami Carnival weekend -the Sosa Lounge and night club, Downtown Hollywood, Tempo Lounge, Rave, Girl Power Flagnite fete. Ever so often the pink bunny randomly interrupts and this ultimately leads to a comical " face off” with Skinny Fabulous.

Skinny says “different interpretations may derive but in all the video was fun to shoot and was shot to show the fun, humor and jubilance associated with carnival.”

Speaking on what he hoped to achieve from this latest video, he says, “Overall, I hope that viewers feel closer to the Skinny Fabulous onstage experience and the energy that goes into carnival performances after watching the video.”
