Munga Releases Mixtape, Pleased With Medley Videos‏

Kingston, Jamaica: — After a set of scintillating local performances, including an appearance at the Youth View Awards, dancehall artiste Munga signalled that he is undoubtedly back with a bang.

The artiste, whose real name is Damian Rhoden, is ready to take the rest 2011 by storm. Still riding high on singles Clean and Fresh on the Supa Swag Riddim and Space Fi Di Gyal Dem on the Ska Vintage Riddim Munga is humbled by the fact that his resurgence is being received so well by fans.

"I never really left the scene, but I am back with a fire and passion bigger and better than what I had when I just started out in the business," he says.

Currently, Munga has two video medleys in rotation – his track This A Fi Di Gyal Dem on the Brit Jam Riddim which also features the likes of Popcaan, Vybz Kartel and Aidonia has hit local television networks; as well as the video for his track Thank Yuh Jah on the Ice Riddim.

"This is about making my fans see that I am not gone, music is a part of me so now we're ready to show everybody what I've been working on," Munga said.
The Gangsta Ras recently completed the shoot of another video for his track Jah Love on the Smooth Base Riddim which will be on local television soon along with the long anticipated video for Clean and Fresh.

But it is his recently released mixtape that has dancehall lovers excited. Called Simple the project has been making the rounds in CD players across the island.

"I put a lot into it the making of the mixtape. It's lyrically powerful and shows my versatility on all of the tracks, and since we started giving it out two weeks ago, the response has been really encouraging and good," commented Munga.

With that out of the way, the focus is now on pleasing his fans on every show. He currently has bookings in a number of Caribbean countries and is working on finalizing a European tour next month.
