Yanks Has a Natural Love for Reggae Music‏

Born in Jamaica, US based reggae artiste Yanks was naturally always surrounded by Reggae music. His two major influences were Bob Marley and Eddie Fitzroy and, throughout his youth, the Dancehall party scene was a significant part of his lifestyle.

His biggest hobbies at the time were singing and deejaying. His elders hardly gave Yanks a chance to express himself, but his hobby grew into a serious career path nonetheless. He practiced with friends and eventually began to write songs on his own.

Yanks eventually found himself hanging out at Tony Rebel’s Flamez Productions, where many other aspiring artistes converged. Again, he tried to launch his career in night clubs and parties but was unable to find anyone willing to give him the necessary exposure.

Taking matters into his own hands, he began hosting parties and concerts of his own. By doing so, he created his own fan base of people who accepted his music. His big break happened on a concert at Hope Gardens and he has since been performing at venues around the world.

Yanks is currently promoting several new singles such as ‘Run the Trees and ‘Patrol’.
