Robert Sutherland Steps Into The Spotlight With ‘Time So Hard’‏


After spending many years in the background as a guitar player in bands such as Ruption and Calvin Christie and The Overdrive, Robert Sutherland is finally stepping out into the spotlight. The Kingston native who now resides in Philadelphia has long harbored ambitions of being a singer and is currently enjoying much attention with his second officially released single titled Time So Hard.

The single which was produced by Roger Grant, Kofi Dunbar and executive producer Clifford McRae, was released on Roberts Nijeri imprint over two moths ago. Since its release Time So hard has been enjoying good rotation locally on radio stations such as IRIE FM, HOT 102 FM and HITZ 92 FM. It is also enjoying attention abroad especially in Ghana where it is being played by top radio jocks Black Shanti on Happy FM and DJ Yoga on Choice FM.

Time So Hard has also landed Robert on Jamaica Music Countdown Reggae Charts, where it is currently in the number 20 position. Mean while it’s accompanying music video which was directed by Robin Chin is receiving steady rotation on local television channels.Robert Sutherland is currently busy in the studios working on his to be released debut album which is slated to be released this summer.
